The pic don't do it justice tbh, I've managed to get it down to the same as the chromed locking ring so one more run over with the metal polish and dremel will do the trick. Doing it this way you don't loose the engravings

what sort of attachemnet do you use on the dremmel...i find a small buffing wheel ok but theres so many bits in my kit i darent try em lol
I use the compacted cotton looking bits and just put a tiny dab of metal polish on then use at about 10-15 speed to get the messy bit out the way and wipe off the crap, and then using the same head but just a touch more polish at about 5-10 speed.
I find if you use to high a speed on your finish go you will get the odd swirl mark
I done this that's going to someone as it was covered in scratches from when I got it and am surprised how it come up.
The dremel was a good buy

Kinda pricey for a clone? The original (If you can grab one) is only £65 - I know which I'd prefer

Yeah some of these vendors are really pushing it with clone prices now funny thing is if you go direct to the manufactures, the price between all the different attys etc are minimal.
