anyone got one of these or can help??

problem is this, first use was ok 1.8ohm. that was with the wire and wick that came with it.
2nd attempt with .2 wire came out about 1.5, checked on meter and on vamo. when i put the tank on it keeps dropping to .o3 ohm or so. is it shorting it or what??
any help please 001.jpg002.jpg

Sounds like it's shorting somewhere mate. First thing that comes to mind, have you made sure there's no stray bits of kanthal anywhere?

I've no experience with the squape but are all the insulators ok?

on closer inspection looks like after one build the top of the posts has made a tiny scratch on the coating of the bell/funnel part. tightened it up as far as i dare and it seems ok for now.

then i looked at the fasttech website and got a serious case of 'shinyitus'

Read on another forum that there is an o ring on top of the chimney that causes the lower chimney to touch the terminal screws. This is causing the hard short. The original doesn't have that o ring between the chimney and the main body.

I should have one in the post tomorrow so will have a look and post my findings.
Can confirm thou that the tobeco version didn't have the o ring on top of the chimney either.

Just received the hcigar squape and with the terminal screws un done by 1mm the tops of the screws touch the chimney when it's screwed together. There is an o ring between the chimney and the main body which I believe shouldn't be there.

Will have a better look when I get home from work later on.

i had to take of o ring on chimney on my Hcigar SQuape now working fine

there was an o ring on there but i replaced it with one that came with it cos it was squished.
I'll take it out then??

Took the O ring out of mine and retested with the terminal screws undone about 1mm and its fine, no contact between the tops of the screws and the chimney.

As for airflow or leaking problems I cant say as I haven`t set it up yet. Just posted my findings to help some of you out with shorts.
Am sure with a tweak here and there it will be a good vape when its set up tomorrow :grin2:
