This a fun read, I spent a while, merely pondering the following;

(6) Where P is travelling with a relevant individual (“C”) for whom P has responsibility, P must
also complete a travel declaration form containing—
(a) the information referred to in paragraph (5)(a), in the form required by paragraph (5)(b),
on behalf of C, and
(b) a statement that P certifies that the information provided in relation to C is true to the best
of P’s knowledge and belief.
(7) Paragraphs (4) and (6) do not apply—
(a) to a relevant individual, or
(b) to any person referred to in Schedule 6

:hmm: :doh::11:

Mingle, that's a new (covid) one, I knew a bird once (well, she wasn't the only bird I've ever known) and to her mingling was having a shag :umm:

5.—(1) A person participates in a gathering as a member of a qualifying group for the purpose of paragraph 3(2) only if the person is a part of a qualifying group and, whilst participating in the gathering, the person does not—

(a) become a member of any other group of persons participating in the gathering (whether or not that group is a qualifying group), or

(b) otherwise mingle with any person who is participating in the gathering but is not a member of the same qualifying group as them.

You got me at it ............... utterly confused until I realised 'Schedule 6' is 'Persons exempt from the restrictions on leaving the United Kingdom, and the requirement to have a travel declaration form'. Still like wading through mud though.

..... and I keep reading about 'Gatherings' and thinking 'Highlander'. :D

I only looked because a friend wanted to know what a reasonable excuse is, to leave the UK, that particular section is mind boggling, I like words and all that but, you know...

Anyway, this bit intrigued me, as a reason to exit the UK:

(ii) a person who is employed by the holder of a Community licence issued under Article 4 of Regulation (EC) No 1073/2009(d) of the European Parliament and of the Council, and who is acting in the course of their employment.

People will be allowed to leave the UK to prepare a second home for sale or rent, according to new coronavirus regulations coming into force later this month.

The latest restrictions, which will apply from 29 March, will include a list of specific “reasonable excuses to travel” outside the country, including what Labour branded as “the Stanley Johnson clause”.

Boris Johnson’s father, Stanley, last summer apparently breached Covid guidelines by travelling to his Greek villa to make it “Covid-proof”.

The exemption allows people to travel abroad “in connection with the purchase, sale, letting or rental of a residential property”. Those activities include visiting an estate agent, developer sales office or show home, viewing residential properties to rent or buy, and preparing a property for moving in.

Labour MP and former shadow cabinet minister Andrew Gwynne said: “For hardworking families facing the prospect of missing out on summer holidays, it will stick in the craw that the government has inserted a ‘Stanley Johnson clause’ to Covid rules that allows people to come and go if they have property abroad … It seems it’s still one rule for them and another for the rest of us.”

Another Labour source branded it the “Stanley Johnson loophole” for “those managing their overseas property empires”, and accused the government of being “only focused on their own privileged lives”.
