What's new

Hello from SW London

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

To answer a few questions:

Yes, I have gone for the 24mg Nic e-liquids, so don't think will be a problem.

I will certainly look at some of the links posted and consider changing the clearomisers

I am not too sure about the larger battery, just yet - perhaps will try the iTaste VV v3.0 to start with and change later if needed.

I do like the idea of bottom coil clearomiser, as my current vape runs slightly too hot for my liking, so if that will cool it slightly, all the better.

I take glass clearomisers are better than the plastic ones? I must admit I think I detect a 'chemically' taster to my current vape, but that could be down to the e-liquid

finally, to try the different VG/Ag mixes - do I need to mix myself or can I specify that from online eliquid suppliers?

thanks for all the help folks:thankssign:

Welcome Asif from Sarf East London :) As has been said above, get a decent bottom coil clearomizer, check the nic level of your juices, you might want something higher, also the percentage of PG to VG, PG is the flavour carrier, so you may find that you need a 60/40 or 70/30 mix.

Hi Thanks for the welcome Bib

just a quick question - when you say 60/40 or 70/30 - do you mean PG/VG ratio?

Welcome to the planet, an mvp or vamo are both vv/vw mods so vaping becomes more customized to taste and to flavour, higher the vv more throat hit. Both mods have 510 and ego connections, so will take any tank.

Aloha man

1) Firstly, do people recommend this?
A VV unit is a nice addition because it allows you more control over the power being pushed through your coils meaning you can tweak it incrementally til you get a comfortale vape.

2) what kind of fittings does it take? are they are all interchangeable?
It takes a standard 510 connection so external threads cover it (as seen in pics) and internal will sit inside the center (Kanger tanks are internal so have a beauty ring so the outher threads are covered and provide a bit extra stability)

3) I see that clearomters come is different codings, but I don't know what they mean (e.g. Ce4/4/9 istart15/30, etc)
CE4 is usually a top wicked coil (has a few threads hanging down) and EVOD is bottom coiled, i know the iClear 30s are CE4 style but the wicks are inside a tube

Hi Thanks for the welcome Bib

Yes exactly, some vendors only do 70/30, but there are others that will do various mixes either in a drop down list on their site or if you contact them, as long as you have no problems with PG, I would suggest either 70/30 or 60/40 for starters, and see how you go with that sort of mix, also depending on what you used to smoke you may find 24mg a bit too much, so i would advise NOT buying too much juice to start with.

Hi Folks,

Firstly, thanks for all the advise!

I am now the proud owner of an iTaste VV v3.0 with the iClear16 - already I can notice the difference (though I guess some new make of juice has also helped)

However, in addition I also bought a Kanger Protank2 with some spare coils - however, I cannot get it to work at all!

I have posted on Myepack sections, so hopefully they will be able to advise, but here is my issue:

I have followed the instructions to the letter, but it just won't vape! In fact some of the e-liquid leaks. I have check all the O-rings, etc and seems to be fine

what am I doing wrong?

I basically unscrewed the base, added some juice, inserted the coil and closed up again and thought I should be good to go - when connected to the battery (have tried with the new iTaste VV 3.0 battery, but also a standard ego 1100mAh battery - but when connected I am unable to 'suck' - almost like its blocked

perhaps, I should have asked this before - but is the Kanger ProTank2 actually compatible with the iTaste??

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Asif
