Hello! Where to start...???

Hi,

I've just joined the forum. I've been a moderate smoker for 20 odd years, I've packed up and started again, the usual thing. Last time I stopped was a couple of years ago and I bought a 'Greensmoke' eCigarette kit which was pretty pricey..... And frankly, I hated the damned thing. I smoke roll-ups with liquorice paper and usually a menthol filter these days. I found the Greensmoke eCig to be heavy, unpleasant to try and get anything out of and not particularly nice tasting, a complete waste of time and so, of course, I went back to what I enjoy after a period of time.

I have recently become aware that their are many other methods of eSmoking but to be honest, it all looks like a pretty technical and I haven't a clue where to start!

Ideally I would like to replicate the satisfaction I get from above mentioned roll-ups as I really want to kick the tar. And I'm not particularly fussed about having a great fat white Superking with a glowing green end hanging out of my mouth either!

I would be very grateful if someone could point me in the right direction, I haven't a clue where to start and I don't understand the different brands, products, abbreviations...... It's a newbie minefield!

I was a rollie smoker also with menthol tips the first juice I bought was from a major brand Hansen menthol sensation @ 18mg ( that's just menthol tho )and I found it helped a great deal in the beginning with a ego starter kit worked out really well for me but everyone is different

you wont get a tar kick from a e-cig no tar involved you maybe talking about nicotine kick on your throat ( throat hit )

there are loads of menthol flavours out there it may take alittle browsing to find what you want but the best way is try and find local vaping shop and go in you and try before you buy or you can order small sample bottles 5ml for some vendors to find something you like.. a lot of trial and error as you have found out already

Hi from another newbie!
I have an ego that a very kind member sent me and I love it! I am vaping orange atm but today I got a couple of baccy flavours that I had ordered. Have not tried yet as I am enjoying the orange so much. Love the vapour I get from the ego and the throat hit is nice too. Not harsh but enough to make you feel like you are sort of 'smoking'.
I have had those crap e-cigs before with the replacement cartridges all of the same yukky flavour and I hated most of them. I didn't have a clue there was a better alternative out there until I found this very helpful forum.
I can recommend the ego as a starter ...and there are so many flavours out there it's fantastic! Even flavours like coffee, chocolate, candyfloss and battenburg! haha.

Hiya and welcome menthol and liquorice are good flavours for vaping, most taste pretty good. If you see some vaping gear and want some advice just ask as the chances are someone here will have tried it!

Hi and welcome. Good advice already. Bear in mind a 'great fat white superking' size ecig is probably the smallest type there is and with limited functionality /longevity. Bigger is better for battery life and people surprisingly quickly get used to having something much larger than a fag to vape with.

I used to love eating liquorice papers when I was a kid. I remember my mother using them for her rollies. I still use them now and then for my rollies ( Or I did when smoking). I am definitely going to find some liquorice e-liquid to vape!
