Help! I have a problem :(

Thank you, @Ment! It's always good to hear someone else has experienced the same. Hopefully you're right and it's just minor trauma that'll heal. Did you stop vaping to clear yours up or make any changes? I might be reading too much into the VG thing but it has improved since going only 50/50 this evening. I wonder if direct-to-lung is more drying?

I actually found vaping to quite soothing. I took more care to make sure I was well hydrated.

While vg may be more drying, pg is more irritating, so I would stick to higher vg and just make sure you drink more.

Totally agree with the guys and gals :)

Hydration is so often over looked!

However, if it persists definitely get it checked out,

DTL probably does carry an increased risk of dehydration, simply because when you inhale dtl you're going thru more juice than a more restricted mtl draw uses. You get a bigger 'dose' when you inhale dtl and that's why it's not advisable to use juice of a nicotine strength above 6mg for that style of vaping.

Probably need to drink more.

But I had an issue about a year ago (before I started to vape) where I had this type of weird feeling in my throat. Went to the Dr's, who referred me on to a specialist, who stuck a camera down my nose to take a look at my throat. It turns out I had bad acid reflux that had done a little damage. so have to take antacids before bed now (fixed the problem). So if you also have acid issue try a shot of gaviscon before bed (& if you need to a couple times a day).

Good luck. Hope this helped.

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. It's a lot better today - still there but much better than yesterday. I've only vaped 50/50 today but whether it's that or coincidence in a scratch healing I don't know. I guess I'll find out if I try VG again. I'm still keeping an eye on things and if it turns out I can't cope with DTL I guess I'll have to find a way to MTL high VG instead.

That's interesting about the acid reflux and thanks for mentioning it. I tried Gaviscon yesterday to see if it helped the sensation as it was the most viscous thing I could think of - I did help but no idea whether that's a reflux thing or a hydrating/lubricating thing.

Happy to help.

Try the gaviscon for a week or so & see if it helps. If it goes away, but comes back when you stop using the antacids you have an answer.
