Help - iClear 30S Problem

Just received some Snake Oil and put it straight into my new iTaste VTR, using an iClear 30S. Wow, great juice but I'm noticing that the ohms reading is bouncing around from 2.2 to 5.3. In some circumstances the resistance appears to drop to zero and the mod stops working.

Is this a problem with the atty or have I got a dud mod?

Hi @Beej Chances are it is the coil head, you could also try unscrewing the atty right off and then just tighten it up gently untill you feel it go tight. How long did you leave the juice to settle before you fired it up?

Was so excited I fired it up straight away! Have tried my existing Viva Nova and the VTR is showing a consistent 2.3 ohms.

Well for future reference anyway you should really give any juice a minute or so to soak up, but looking at the fact you say it goes up to around 5.3ohms that does suggest to me you have a bad coil. Do you have any spare ones for it you could try?

I do and will give them a go. I have been vaping for almost a year and am just moving away from the cigarette type devices. Two things I am finding quite frustrating:

1. The thrown away atomisers are very hit or miss when it comes to performance and longevity,
2. Building coils and wicks for genesis and dripping atomisers is still proving inconsistent.

I am determined to get this right as I no longer see this as a habit/addiction but more of a hobbie.

Have a KFL+ coming for Xmas so can't wait for the next challenge. Thanks for your help.
