Help, My New College is Losing It!

I recently purchased a Dovpo College 60w mod on sale from Evolution Vaping, and after paying customs etc, when I finally got it home, I was sorely disappointed. The plastic film screen protector annoys me, so I went to remove it as I always do from my mods. As I pulled it up, the entire screen came up with it, so it is hanging on by a thread (or a bit of the glue at one end). Evolution Vaping did not answer my complaint, and as it is too expensive to ship back from Norway, I have to try and repair it. My thinking is that I should take the screen off completely and then glue it back. Which glue should I use? Should I apply a bead of glue around the entire screen? In advance, thank you!

To be honest the possible reason that the glue has come away is that it’s been stored for 3 years or so because that’s around the last time they were made.

The screen is held on by 3M double sided tape. So double sided sticky tape would be one solution or I have in the past used a little super glue to fix them on. But only a drop because it can leak on to the screen.

If I had spares and if Dovpo had spares we would send you a replacement screen but because it’s been discontinued for such a long time we don’t have any.

The screen is held on by 3M double sided tape. So double sided sticky tape would be one solution or I have in the past used a little super glue to fix them on. But only a drop because it can leak on to the screen.

I fully understand that this mod was discontinued a while ago, I was very excited to find it, and was willing to pay the exorbitant VAT and duties for it (ended up being close to the original price). Even though many people have said it was ugly, I really like the looks, and love the dna 60 board.

I will gently take the screen off and see if I can find two-sided tape that is thin enough to hold it in place without it protruding from the base. I suspect I may have to go for the super-glue solution, but I will be concerned that dust and moisture may seep in. Hope the board is sealed…

Thanks again! I just saw a sneak-peek of a new BP Mods sbs mod (with a mini sqounker to boot). When it’s released, I’ll be one of the first in line!

It might be worth heating the glue up on the original cover first just to see if it makes it sticky.

Double sided sticky tape is your best option. Glue can easily leak on to the screen if you’re not careful.
