Hello new person, and welcome.

You will soon be bombarded with ideas on what and where to start.
I will say, start small and work your way up. Just in case.

Hello and welcome mozzer! I hope you're saying you need a roller (a vaping device) and not a rollie!!

There's a lot to take in at first, but as a basic starter set-up, an ego battery with an evod on top is a good place to start.

Have a look on the wiki on here for an explanation of basics. Also have a look at the Marketplace as well.

Welcome to the planet! You'll get all the help you could need and more here! It doesn't have to break the bank to get started so don't get bogged down by all the shinies!

Welcome @mozzer!

A good place to start is right here :) You joined one of the best forums around ;)

Most people find that the look-alikes (aka cigalikes) don't cut it for them. However a great many people started out their vaping journey with a basic eGo blister pack and a handful of e-liquid.
The eGo (or Riva depending on where you get one)

  • Is a pen style device with an battery built in. Most good eGos feature a 5 click on/off feature so that you don't activate it in your pocket, bag etc.
  • Has a 510 threading with an ego skirt threading. What this means is that you can use atomisers or cartomisers (like a kanger evod or other clearomiser) that have skirts lower than the main connector
  • Can be anywhere from 420millamp hours charge. The more mAH generally means more life through the day, but be careful where you buy from as there are a lot of people claiming XXX mah but when you take it apart, there's a smaller battery inside with a big cushion underneath to stop rattling around
  • Doesn't take too long to charge and go

Atomisers, Cartomisers, Tanks, RBAs, RDAs

  • All do essentially the same thing, they apply the power from the battery to a heating coil to vapourise your liquid nicotine.
  • A good starting point is an EVOD bottom coil clearomiser from the manufacturer Kanger.
  • Other people also like the top coil CE4/5's but it's down to you to decide which you prefer in the long run.

Eliquid MG, %
Eliquid comes in all sorts of flavours, most people want to find something close to what they smoke, and often feel let down! It's practically impossible to replicate that flavour of lit tobacco. You might find one that tastes a BIT like it, but it will never be the same. I personally tried a malboro juice when I first started and it was rank, I then found that sweet eliquids were awesome and never looked back :D
  • Working out what strength to get is down to you! Only your body can tell you if you're getting too much or too little nicotine
  • Most people start at 18mg or buy some 18 and 12 together for the "just in case"
  • There are some (like myself) who started at 36mg... (i now vape 18mg)
  • If you are buying a juice and it says % rather than mg (or mg/ml) then just remove the . and you have the mg strength (eg. 1.8% is 18mg Nicotine per ml)

This is a 650mah ego with a kanger evod on top. Which most vendors sell :)

Any further questions, you're in the right place :D

oh and watch out for the ninja monkey

Might I suggest you get two batteries. That way you can carry on vaping whilst one is on charge.

Hi and welcome mozzer, the best place to start is by making the choice to switch :) and the planet will certainly help you on your way. There are many starter packs out there check out the marketplace or do a little search online, be sure to ask any questions you have in the new user section there's always someone to help you out
