Not sure if this is the right sub forum?

Basically I used to smoke menthols, and mainly Marlboro Ice Blast, not a huge smoker maybe 10-12 a day
http://www.ciggiesworld.com/marlboro-ice-blast/

Ive tried a few different menthol e-liquids now and the closest I can get for that strong cold menthol taste is Halo Subzero (it's actually even better imo!) it's that good in 6 weeks I've only had 2 real cigs!

The missis smokes L&B, she's cut down a fair bit from 20odd a day to around half this bit I'm going to get her to quit completely and stick to e-cigs. I've bought her a few eliquid to try like lambert & maid which she found ok, but the closest I've had for her to date is 'Rainbow' from the local market!

Are there any other eliquids to consider that's close to Lamberts?

Im determined to get her to quit!

Don't know about L&B but (it's pricey and I earn no money from saying this) House Of Liquid produce some wonderful baccy-based vapes.

They steep tobacco leaves to get a proper flavour. I've had the coffee, the apple and the Virginia and all three are gorgeous.

Mawsley knows....

In retrospect (since starting vaping) I don't think any e-liquid could be made to taste as bad as a Lambert!
My initial saviour from a lifetime of rollups was Mystic Juice 'Tobacco Original' - I still like it a lot, but am getting more adventurous now my taste buds are coming back.

Thanks, I'll order a couple samples from there :)

also so looking for something for my step father who smokes the pipe and just started on an e-pipe (wicked bit of kit!) He usually smokes Amphora and Clan so I'm looking for something similar for his birthday :)

I don't feel that any e-liquids can replicate tobacco smoke and taste. Some, like (as already mentioned) House of Liquid, the old stalwart OKsmokey, and Moondrop "staight up" (from vapourworld) do a good job of replicating the taste, and smell of of a freshly opened packet of baccy, not that I ever tried eating the stuff. All of the aforementioned rely on the steeping of real tobacco leaves to get their flavour/aroma.

No liquid can really replicate the taste of burning leaves.

I think a big breakthrough comes when you finally realise you don't actually need the taste of stuff on fire and there are many, many more pleasant flavours out there.

I was a regular L&B smoker, and although I'm still new at this, the best tobacco ones I've tasted have been the Mystic Original Tobacco flavour and the Hangsen Impulse - that last one was closest to L&B for me, but like I said, still new at this...

thanks, I'll get them for her to try out. I'm determined to get her to quit.

flip side for me now is I'm addicted to bloody e-cigs! Gone from smoking just 10 fags a day to not being able to put the thing down! Love it!

I suppose it's all down to personal taste. I *REALLY* do not like the tobacco-styled juices; I find them chasing after something that is infinitely going to disappoint if you're truly seeking 'the real thing'. I don't believe you can ever truly replicate the combustive flavors given when tobacco ignites. That being said, you can definitely find a 'tobacco-esque' flavor appeases in a somewhat inevitably malty fashion like a raw tobacco taste.

Another thing is actual smoking, kills taste receptors in your gustatory apparatus, so if you go back to smoking after a 3 month break for example, you'll taste things you never noticed before; putrid cigarette smoke isn't all that flavorsome in my opinion.

GrimmGreen does a great video on 'the tobacco enigma' which I highly recommend. There are also juice blends with fruits and 'tobacco' flavors which are actually quite palatable. Caramelly-malty-deep flavors seem to appeal to some; but they're not 'honestly' tobacco....

In my own experience, it's best to branch out and find other diverse and beautiful flavors like those made by the people in the vendors-lounge here; I've just bought DarkStarVapour for example and find something that's a staple vape. My whole family vape - and the tobacco ejuices have really disappointed us overall- unless they taste 'different' and good in their own right- but then, they sort of cease to be 'tobacco' ejuices!

This is a never-ending discussion, and probably always will be! Be adventurous and branch out into new and exciting flavors!
