How do you extract the VG & PG from the bottles?

I'm sticking with mixing my own juices and almost have a few i eventually like. I have 500ml bottles of VG and PG and i'm getting almost half full on each (i generally make 50/50 juices).

Up to now i've been putting the syringes directly into the bottles which has been ok as the liquid is always near the top but this is becoming more challenging as it gets emptier.

What do you guys do with your bases? Do you empty them into smaller bottles? Is there any device that is long enough to extract liquid from the bottom of the bottles?

Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Kevin.

Decant into smaller bottles for me and sometimes pour directly into a small measuring jug

I used to faff around tipping the bottles or transferring to a smaller bottle then use the syringe. Best advise I can give is to start using scales.

Only been using them for a few weeks after spending months mixing by ml, its saved me so much time and mess I wish I used them from the start.

Scales sounds brilliant. Do you know any decent ones i could buy?

I pour into one of them small plastic measuring cup you gets with medicine. It's ok for me as I only mix in 30 ml batches.

Just remember to take the specific gravity of (especially) VG into account. I think it's covered in the mixology thread. Of the top of my head VG has a sg Of around 1.26

Also you need to get scales that read to 0.01g....plenty available feabay..amazon and the like

PG is 1.04 grams per ml VG is 1.26 grams or as near as damn it.

I do 100ml batches so just pour into measuring cylinders - but I'm using T-Juice concentrates so no measuring under 1ml...
