some middle management twat told me off last night because I wasn't wearing a mask, the reason I was eating a biscuit it was and I quote "a waste of a mask as I had taken it off" the biscuit was a bourbon I had just took off all the ppe and put a fresh mask on but I was in the kitchen/food area getting a drink (PPE we have to wear it all the time in all areas now apart from eating and using the loo) the unit is hotter than the suns surface its murder

she was outside telling me off as she is not allowed in due to lockdown and non-esential people

fucking bitch

Just went to my local co-op mask round arm, put it on and went in. There were around 8 other customers in there and NOBODY was wearing a mask not one including the staff.
Seems like most are working out it's a load of crap and that wearing a nappy on your face doesn't protect you from coronavirus.

It's not mandatory until tomorrow mate.

Yes I know, I just mean nobody is wearing one because they know its nonsense and when tomorrow comes they still won't be wearing them and nobody in shops like that is going to enforce it.

I've just been to aldi and they've got signs up asking people to wear face coverings. Only about 50% of the customers were and even some staff weren't or were wearing them incorrectly. We'll have to wait and see what tomorrow brings. They should be refusing entry but how do they know whether you are one of the "exempt " few.

I see that as the main problem mate. Whatever anyone thinks about corona there is good scientific evidence that in enclosed spaces masks can reduce transmission of respiratory viruses and possibly reduce the viral load if you are infected but only if everyone is wearing one in said enclosed space.

I wouldn't force anyone to do anything but I do think a couple of the main supermarkets should come out and say they are putting on security who won't let anyone in without a mask. Then people who want to wear them and want those around them to wear them can go there and word will get around where it isn't enforced and everyone is happy.

Would be a good experiment as well seeing how that worked out
