How hot should your device get?

Right, new to this so excuse the lack of techie speak. I have an ego with ce4 clearomiser and a kanger mini protank. Loving the protank airy and cool vape but both are getting real hot around the coil area where the tanks connect to the batteries. I have gone for low nic juices as I was never a heavy smoker but I find I am vaping a lot and for long periods. Do I need a bigger battery? Or higher nic juice so I don't vape so much? I actually like vaping a lot though. It's more about that hand-to-mouth action for me and less about the amount of nicotine. Am probably charging batteries every other day. I have no clue about this really so need some expert advice as to what the problem might be. Or are they supposed to get hot? Sometimes they are too hot to hold. Thanks.

Added; I know they are supposed to get hot, I meant, are they supposed to get VERY hot? Just a bit worried I might burn it out or something.

They're getting hot because you are probably vaping a lot, which means your body is telling you that the nicotine isn't on par with what you were used to when you smoked.

go up one level higher and you should notice a decrease in vaping.

I started at 36, went to 24, then stayed around 18ish for nearly all of my vaping journey.. Only recently am I on lower nic levels and I vape constantly. I might go back up just a wee bit to curb that too not sure yet though!

You might be right about not enough nic getting into my system. Also, still being new to vaping I am a bit overzealous with it.

I'd say by now your over the novelty that you get at the beginning and starting to level out on nic intake, but your setup might be trying to keep up with that norm that you have found, so I'm with KMS on maybe upgrading

I found in the first few weeks after getting a bigger battery mod that I'd use it when having my tea in the morning and at night after dinner onwards, and a ego with a nova in the day that I would pop in my pocket if I was out, but now its kind of leveled out as I only use big battery mods all day but don't feel the need to have it when out walking the dog etc, so I think it gives me that hit that I need rather than keeping on the edge of needing a vape every minute of the day
