How to use this site?

Hi I am obviously a newbie and had very (almost none) forum experience, iam finding my way around and probably making a few errors and inappropriate posts for which I apologise, is there a forum tutorial? Where are the emoticons? what is the points system? I've found the likes button, lol button, not sure what x1 means,
Oh and for the last 3 days couldnt believe how many postmen visit this site??? Any help very welcome thanks in advance Stewpot..

Don't stress yourself. Post away and don't worry about anything, you'll soon pick things up.

Some pedantic types may tell you off for posting in the wrong place, and I'll come after you if you use unnecessary question marks but it's nothing to worry about.

the points system is just a bit of fun and doesnt mean anything. it will change when you reach milestones like 100, 1000 etc and also replies from others with likes, thanks, lol.
top right of the page, click your user name to update your details or hover over it and a drop down will show a number of options where you can add a profile avatar picture, change or add a signature at the bottom of each post.
the envelope is the private message system but on here its called a conversation where you can private message someone.
the flag is replies to your your posts or likes received. when its red it shows how many replies you have.

I got mocked for bumping a post from 2015 @Stewpot,I was only trying to be environmentally friendly! Seriously, as others have said post and learn to suit yourself and you’ll pick the etiquette and other foilbles etc that exist in all online communities. It’s overwhelmingly a friendly group and refreshingly lacking in precious types!
