Hey all, it's another TPD thread!
Sorry, I have read through quite a few threads, but had a few thoughts, wanted to get your opinions?
So, equipment-wise, I can't see that batteries come under much fire (lol, so punny!) and I can't see how you could ban them anyway. They are just batteries! Maybe someone can create a lightbulb with a 510 connection and we can say they are torches?! Seems a bit odd given that most vape-related injuries are down to the batteries rather than anyone dousing themselves in nicotine...?
Leak-proof tanks? Would tanks like the Melo2 with the juice refilling slot suffice? Personally I like this design, does that mean we will see more like this? And how on earth would customs be able to sniff out an imported tank anyway? Or coils for "banned" tanks?
Juices: no high nic levels. But can you still buy bottles of nicotine and DIY? Or is this where the black market comes in to it? Again, I can totally see smuggling being too hard to control.
What's the deal with 0 nic juices, will they get regulated? If not, surely you could just sell 0 nic juices and we will have to add our own nicotine? Seems stupid and more risk of hazards, but hey, nothing makes sense anyway!
And if you DIY juices, I can't see that any part of this is a problem, they won't stop selling VG and PG or flavour concentrates, so it's just the availability of nicotine?
When this goes through, I'm going to become a massive vaping vigilante. Although I can see a world where TPD doesn't make much difference. I didn't get into vaping after watching an advert. Vape sites are already more regulated than porn sites, etc
Am I just rose-tinting? I realise part of the problem is that most of this is as of yet unquantified, so it's all speculation, but I wanted to hear if my logic is totally flawed?
It's interesting to me as someone living in Cairo, I just discovered that the Egyptian authorities banned everything to do with e-cigs back in Feb, but you would never know it! More and more I see people vaping in pubs, there are a handful of homegrown juice ranges that aren't half bad, and if I want a US premium juice or a bit of kit, I only have to make a phone call and it's delivered the same day! We have a handful of vape shops, which is not bad for an outlawed product in a city where the majority of people are too poor to afford it and too ignorant of health issues to care! Because it's just a very difficult thing to actually regulate!
