Hello,
Thanks for the advice i've so far gleaned from this site,
I've made a few extremely brief attampts at vaping over the past few years, but i lack the determination to last it out.
a few months back, i bought a "Thorvap" pen, which seemed to leak everytime i filled it, but when it worked, it was ok,
But i've just gone ahead and bought myself an IJOY Genie pd270 and a SMOK TFV8 Tank,
maybe i should have asked for suggestions first, i'm a noobie at this game.
hopefully i've made a good choice.

Neil.

Hi @neilmcca and welcome to the Planet.

wish you had asked on here first as well.
i dont know either of these kits
https://www.amazon.co.uk/THORVAP-Atomiser-Batteries-cigarette-Nicotine/dp/B06XR6FVP4
kit http://www.ijoycig.com/product/item-419.html
but looking at it you need new 20700 batteries as well so im also guessing you will need an external charger.
if the kit didnt come with batteries then check fogstar https://www.fogstar.co.uk/

so youve gone from a pen type to a high end sub ohm kit. i personally dont like the smok tanks as way too airy for me but going from a pen type which would have a fixed wattage to a tank that will need around 80-120watts will be a big jump.
also the pen type shows it is best with 50vg/50pg but the smok will need 70vg or even 80vg

hope it works out for you and keep us updated.

With the right kit and the right amount of nicotine, getting off the fags can be easier than you might imagine.

Hope you get on with the new kit, if not just hit us with questions.

There is enough experience of all types of vaping on here, we can get you sorted out.

There is a wide range of kit available from low power devices normally used with higher nicotine juice to high power kit normally used with lower nicotine and a bunch of stuff in between. They all have their fans and the trick is to find what is right for you.

Edit-- Oh and hello, enjoy the forum.

Thanks for the tips re' the vg, i plan to make my own liquid at some point,
I've just checked, and it comes with 2 batteries.https://www.ecigone.co.uk/IJOY-GENIE-PD270-234W-TC-Box-Mod?search=IJOY GENIE PD270 234W TC Box Mod
as for charger, i'm assuming i can charge it via the micro usb slot !?
It will probably say in the manual to charge the batteries externally but even if it doesnt it would be advisable.
Mods are not very good at charging the batteries ballanced.
Hi and welcome btw
