What's new

I am new bee?

Same as the old bee, but with less added chemicals, meaning that my new hobby really should be cheaper because of the subtraction, but if I were honey and sold in Tesco (or any other high street space invader), I would now be labelled Manuka, and have £10 slapped unto my retail price.
Started the vaping two weeks ago, week one was disposables, during which I researched, and chose a starter kit to send away for, more on which soon, but first, quick list a reviews of disposables: Vapestick = meh, neither great nor grim; 10 Motives = 1 great reason to start smoking again, the worst; E-lites = Disappointing, nearly as bad as 10 motives, bland; Nicollites = Surprise champion, for cost, taste, and hit, the way to go if your aim is to merely quit the smokes, I'd say.
Received a Jacvapour ecig pcc kit last Monday, and I loves it, nice tobacco flavours in red usa, virginia, and desert ship, though the actual Tobacco labelled tobacco flavour isn't much to my tastes, ie, I would'nt mind a Jack Daniels, but I'd rather not a Southern Comfort.
By Tuesday, having been looking at youtube video's by a variety of beardy freaks and cockney geezers, etc, I decided to go and get some vgo2 650's as well, which are working well in the hometime, with a variety of eliquids. I say hometime, but having spent all this money, I am now homeless, and asking strangers for 50p so I's can vapes, still, with this initial outlay, including discounts which were easy to hunt down, my spend has probably not come to much more than a month's smoking.
With the vgo's I got a variety of cartomizers, and a clear tank. The tank looks sexy, and makes a great sound, but so far I am finding the vape on it too syrupy, maybe that is because I have only had non-tobacco centric flavours in there, like cherry, apple, coffee, etc.
I am more of a savoury than sweet taster, anyway, but the coffee has grown on me in a cartomizer format, and menthol is okay to chug on too.
Anyway, I would have averaged twenty a working day, and a lot more on weekends, and I am doing fine on the 18mg's, though I plan to reduce the mg level, but I can see me doing this for a while.
Also found a weekly stall at St Nicholas's Market in Bristol, Vape Generation, which'll be handy for eliquids, and I may try a variable volt after getting some experience under my belt, as I think they are planning to get some ego twists in, which could be an option.
Oh, and hello everybody, one more thing, I think vaping sounds a bit off, just imagine if Walter Koenig was still alive and had to say it, ugh.

Well sir .. you certainly sound off the wall enough to fit right in here!

welcome .. have a banana

Thanks for the welcome, folks, there does look like there is a copacetic community around the vaping trail, which definitely isn't a bad thing.
I say this now, and don't quote me on this, but I reckon in a war between The Kit People and The Flavouristas, I would fall into the latter brigade right now, the potential has caught my attention.
The variety of kits have as well, but I have no pretenses towards being a mechanic, engineer, or rocket scientist, though the GGTS looks sweet, and if I rob Switzerland, maybe I'll be allowed to buy one after five years. And yeah, I got a starter ecig kit on Monday, and ended up with some 650 batteries by Friday, and am considering a basic vv already, so, nothing to see here, move along.
Flavour wise, I reckon the steady one for me will be the tobaccos, with menthol punctuations throughout an average day, I want to try an R4Y, cinnamons, apples, cigars, grapefruits, blackcurrants, maybe a few coffees, but I shall see how my tastes develop. I would be interest, speaking of bananas, in trying banana, but think it could be a bit of a slog by itself, so maybe with a hazelnut twist could round it out a bit, I'm generally thinking clean tastes, and smoky tastes...
Regarding tanks/clearomizers, I like the way they look, the sound they make, the way the vapour flows from the one that I have, but as I mentioned, I find it can be a bit syrupy, which can detract from the cleanness of the hit, any suggestions on good flavours for such devises, or is it a matter of the device that one has, etc?

I have just recently landed here, used to live in Bath years ago, it is generally a nice area, the natives haven't tried to kill me yet, and the actual city of Bristol appears to have a lot of variety to it, I like it, I may keep it.

if tobaccos and cigars are too your liking .. you may well want to try out houseofliquids.com The El Toro range are some of the best tobacco flavours there are, IMO at least

and if you can possibly get hold of any of vapensteins blend managua (seemingly unlikely :( ) .. then your cigar prayers are answered.

By Tuesday, having been looking at youtube video's by a variety of beardy freaks and cockney geezers, etc, .

That's about right - though you missed the lovely northerner (Glen) with his epic out-takes and the Scotsman (Todd) with the affectionate dog and lovely off-topics about disguising his purchase history from his wife.

You struck lucky with Vapour Generation http://www.vapourgeneration.co.uk/ they are amongst the best.

Welcome to the forums, great to have you here.

I may have seen them, definitely Glen, if he is the one that keeps popping over to Germany, he reminded me of a friendly hobbit, which isn't a comment on his height, nor feet, as I couldn't judge either by the video, anyway, yeah, the guy running the Vapour Generation stall, Rob, was informative and friendly, and even offered to give me a free Cinnamon eliquid when I go back, as he didn't have any at the time, so how is that for service, so I guess it is only fair to mildly advertise that he is getting a load of Hangsen liquids in the next week.
Jacvapour have given great, quick service too, I ordered one black and one stainless steel vgo 650 from them, but put in the order white for the steel one by mistake, realised this after my order had been processed, sent an email to them from work, just before it was due to be sent, and they did the swap. Easy. Too easy. Holy crap, you're all working for the secret government wot do live in that mountain in Tibet. Damn you, Nick Clegg, caught in your net at last...*cough*

Ha ha Glen is Romastino. The hobbit who goes to Germany a lot is Dave Kitson from Vapour Trails TV

El toro is certainly good stuff.
As for vapenstein, vulcanvapes will be stocking this soon, along with more want2vape stuff.
