I see, I couldn't imagine him getting banned as he seemed to live for the forum when we spoke, always telling me about deals on the chinese websites etc. Unfortunately he has though, so my apology won't be getting through to him.

I'm good thanks, mate. I think it's safe to say that we've all wished you well, my friend. There is no shortage of members here who will relate to your struggles, myself included. I remember your addictions thread from a few years ago. I remained quiet in that thread but at the time I was in the process of trying to sort myself out and was scripted. As someone who self medicated with one substance or another since the age of 14, with the only breaks being forced breaks due to time spent in jail between my late teens and my mid 20s, it took right up until 2022 for me to finally get a grip and kick all that shit to the curb. Not an easy road to walk, and I really couldn't be happier to hear that you've got a handle on things. I tip my hat to you, Sir.

Yeah, Crusty was an unfortunate case. He did live for the forum but unfortunately his posts became quite belligerent towards members and vendors alike. Despite warnings it continued so management took the decision to ban him. Wherever he is I hope he is doing well.

At least it wasn't just me that went a bit mad with the mods then haha, for the past year I have exclusively been using just one mod, the Voopoo Drag X. I got this as it seemed like an easy kit to use for when I wasn't really capable of making my own coils etc, and is still going strong.

Now I am a lot better I want to get back into using my RTA's and RDA's though, first thing is to order some wire! Is SS316L still pretty much the king when it comes to being able to make standard coils as well as TC coils for my mods that can do TC, or has a better wire appeared whilst I have been gone?

Oh I see, I didn't know that. He was quite bold/firm in his stances so I wouldn't be surprised, it's part of the reason the argument happened and I said the awful things I did. Not trying to justify it at all, just at the time I felt he was siding with someone else and in my pissed up insane brain I took it personally, even though it was nothing like that.


Hey, another name that I recognise! Sorry to hear you have also battled with alcohol, its such an insidious drug isn't it. This is the first time I have done a detox and not craved alcohol, I am not sure if the diabetes diagnosis being caused through alcohol abuse has caused this or some sort of switch in my brain has just gone off, but I am happily alcohol free since the 7th October 2024.

I truly am sorry to hear that a close family member is suffering with either alcoholism, mental health issues, or both. I pray they can get the help they need before they end up at the stage I was, constantly in and out of hospital due to pancreatitis induced by alcohol, the deadly withdrawals, and the latest diabetes diagnosis being caused by the alcohol use.

I was also scripted myself, I had a bad opiate addiction that started with dihydrocodeine, I would swallow 10 30MG tablets at a time, and eventually moved onto heroin. I detoxed with methadone then subutex, and have been clean from opiates for over 5 years now.

I truly am sorry to hear you also struggled with this, but now as time has passed I don't even think about that chapter of my life, let alone crave heroin.

I have ruined the veins in my arms though, even with an ultrasound machine they could not find a suitable vein to take blood from or cannulate me in hospital, so I ended up with the cannula in my foot near my big toe.

Yes it is unfortunate there, I wouldn't have expected that too happen. I also hope he is doing well myself, I know he was diabetic like I am now so hope that is not causing him any health problems as I know it effected his vision.

i always found you quite an interesting member and you’ve never wronged me in any way so no need to apologise.

i think crusty might have been banned a while back, not sure who could confirm that but i think he rubbed quite a few folk up the wrong way, me included. during covid, so i suppose we were all climbing the walls a bit and dealing with struggles etc.

glad to hear things are going well for you.
