The two biggest lessons I've learnt doing this is settling for anything short of perfect gets extremely expensive.
And the other is if you want a mod thats not too tall you'll need to design your own battery contact holders.

height is governed by others if it fits your hand and it works then its good I've done all manner of small medium and large mods, in the end, I make to how I feel not to how other people say it should be this size or that size but if you have big hands then a tiny mod is daft if you have small hands then a 3 battery 21700 is huge you will never win

ignore the size make to how you want too
