Right, I want to try mixing my own juice and I want to start with a Chocolate mint juice first.

1. First problem - I need a recipe and Chris (not surprisingly) wont tell me what goes in his and that's the one I love.

2. Do I need to buy flavours from the same manufacturer?

3. Which version of each flavour do I buy: "Milk Chocolate" or "Double Chocolate", "Peppermint" or "Spearmint" for example?

4. Or, do I just buy a pre mixed Choc Mint flavour???

Aaargh!!!......I just want to get on with it, but I've got stuck at the first hurdle!!

Help please guys!

whipitup, I have a flavour concentrate here called chocomint, that tastes just like those mint poppets. I have no idea who the manufacturer is, but I suspect it is inawera, and I mix at 20%, but if I was to what to replicate the flavour of one that you really like, I would buy all the flavourings separately and try different quantities, until I got it just where I wanted it. I am just a lazy mixer :(

I would personally go for a dark chocolate and a peppermint. Remember your Ethyl Maltol and Sweetner as well :)

lorAnn do a mint choc chip too, if you are trying to replicate then id imagine youd have to mix all bits seperate ............... not tried the mint choc chip concentrate as yet so cant comment on the outcome sorry to say. One thing I can say is that its smells damn fine

Cheers for that Andy, now I know what sweetener is, but Ethyl Maltol????????

Ethyl Maltol is also a sweetner, but it brings certain flavours out better in a mix. I find it works well on pudding and sweet flavours. As I am lazy, I buy it already dissolved in a PG solution, but it can also come in little flakes or granules.

I've recently started mixing and the only good one I've had (IMO) so far is a mint chocolate lol. Heres the breakdown of how I like it:

Mint Aaro 18mg:
100% PG 54MG
Target Strength: 18MG
Amount to make: 8ML

Flavour 1: Capella Chocolate Fudge Brownie 20%
Flavour 2: Capella Cool Mint 3%

Nicotine eJuic: 2.67ML - 53 drops - 33.38%
Target PG 70%: 1.09ML - 22 drops - 13.63%
Target VG 30%: 2.4ML - 48 drops - 30%
Flavour 1 (choc): 1.6ML - 32 drops - 20%
Flavour 2 (mint): 0.24ML - 5 drops - 3%

Hope this helps you out a little bit.

Thank you VERY much, that's given me a great starting point!!

Right, ordered a ltr of PG and VG...........just need the flavours and sweetener and I can start mixing.

So far It's cost about £65, so I'd better be good at this lark!
