What's new

iclear and vivi nova

I had a mini vivi nova and gave it loads of chances to be good but found it not to my liking. It had not a great taste on my itaste svd or on my ego which is what I bought it for ,for out and about use.It never seemed to have a great flavor especially when it got below half full, also it had leaking problems and my battery and my hand were constnatly covered in juice.Maybe I was just unlucky but this is my view. Now as for the i clear 30 I bought one cheap from fasttech and when I got it I was'nt expecting much from it ,but boy did I get a surprise. When I filled with juice I let it soak for an hour and then tried it.It gave loads of vapour and had plenty of flavor,I was using cherry tobacco ,I was very impressed. It gave the same flavor and vapour right down until it was empty.I used it on my itaste svd and on my ego with the same results.I was also able to buy new wicks for it on various ohms from fasttech ,and I even bought a few more i clear 30's for a few of my friend 's.But as I say I have only been vaping for a year ,I am not into rebuildables and stick mostly to my carto tank's and now the iclear's.Like everyone else I started off on ego's and ce4's and ce5's and this is as far as I have got .I hope this helps.

I'll give it a try. Are you making your own wicks or are they pre packaged ones? I bought a few extra when I got the vivi but after seeing a couple vids, looks easy enough to make your own heh.

I always find you get far better flavour and vape if you make your own wicks. I have to admit my partner makes mine for me just cos I'm idle and haven't tried yet.

Vivi Novas don't leak. (At least the Vision ones I've used haven't unless I did something wrong)

9 times out of 10 the problem is that the head isn't screwed onto the centre post tightly enough. When you get them in the box the heads not screwed down very tightly so if you use it as it comes it will leak a lot.

iClear30s use dual coils (and are harder to rebuild) vivi novas use single coils. There is a lot of wick on a iclear30 which improves wicking a lot and the power being split across 2 coils also improves the vape a little. You do use more juice in this setup, but hey.

The trick to a vivi nova is to tip it inbetween drags. You don't need to vape it pointing up at 45 degrees, or use it like some kind of augmented descant recorder, just soak the wicks inbetween drags and unless you take really long inhales it should perform well.

With the advent of bottom coiled devices like evods and protanks and the like noone tips these days. I find myself tipping everything I vape on from force of habit (kayfun, PT everything) as I used vivi novas pretty much exclusively when I started vaping for about 4 months before getting something different.

I vaped on nova's for ages.. all the vision ones i had never leaked what so ever. and tasted even better when rewicked 1.6 to 1.8 i found the best

I'm running with both, and not finding much of a difference. But the vivi is coiled at 2.6 and leaks well from the base. Where as the iclear is 2.1, but I run them both at 4.6volts on a vmax. And getting a nice vape of of both.

I haven't had any leaks, maybe have to clean the contacts a bit more then with the iclear but nothing to complain about.
