i'm guessing the coils either shorting or the Ramie i'm using as wick is the problem...

What resistance is that? When dry burning my .2 Ohm coils I often set the juice alite but that's dry burning. My guess is that won't happen wet or when you take a drag because of the added air cooling the coils but I hope you're checking the resistance of your coils.

I've seen a pic Raguri posted with his attie on fire so he'll know. I'm still a noob with little experience.

its reading 0.7 on the multimeter and the internal res of the multimeter an leads is 0.4-0.5
