Forgive the seriousness of this post, we promise there might be something to giggle about here or there, but mostly, its serious shit folks, so pay attention.
Several months ago in April, POTV had been alerted to a situation off-site in which, allegedly, a vendor was using one of their customers personal and private information to portray that customer on the internet to cause defamation to POTV.
POTV now feels it is our responsibility to address the situation on our forum, to prevent any further attempts at defamation against POTV and its volunteers, as well as alerting our member base to the situation at hand.
Once POTV received enough information, a full investigation was launched immediately as the team were suspicious that it could possibly be a hacker situation. At all times, POTV was able to maintain the confidentiality of our entire member base to the maximum effect while also ensuring that our server and all of the sensitive information held on it were not compromised.
After singling out the source and 9 days of discussion over the undeniable evidence, we opted to abide by our privacy policy to protect the interests of the member of POTV and the vendor involved, and not release the evidence obtained to the general public. POTV retains all of the evidence necessary to fully defend our reputation and good name if needed.
Due to the evidence POTV obtained, a mutual agreement was reached and the vendor removed any association with POTV at our request. No parties wished to pursue the matter further to involve the authorities.
POTV has continued to concentrate on our priorities while putting this matter behind us, but it appears that the people behind it won't just “go away”.
A few weeks ago, an unknown person in connection with a US based forum joined the ECCA UK forum, in which they posted accusations in regards to KulrMeStoopid's involvement with POTV and ECCA UK as POTV's Forum Rep. At the time, ECCA UK's website and forum were under full control of ECCA's Secretary, days later, the secretary upgraded the old ECCA forum to the new one and those posts were lost, but the ECCA committee members had seen the posts for what they were and called the member out on his posts, which lacked any evidence.
This person has furthered his defamatory campaign against another one of our Moderators RoadHogUK, in which he accuses the Admin and Mod team of being employees of POTV, then banned RoadHogUK from his forum. RoadHogUK, as many of you know, is a long standing well respected member of the Vaping Community. He has been around longer than most of us and has always been someone any of us could turn to if we ever needed his help. His treatment by this person is beyond deplorable and undeserved.
We would like to clarify some of this information publicly and finally. OccultScientist is the owner of this website and the POTV Trademark.
No members of the POTV Admin or Mod team receive compensation, wage packets, percentages, products,or rewards for the time they spend on the POTV forum. The funds POTV have received are spent on maintaining the costs involved in running an ever expanding community.
Because of the implementation of advertising and the Marketplace we are able to provide our members the best experience for Free and give the Admin/Mod team and our member base peace of mind, behind the security of our recently upgraded, more powerful and secure, dedicated server. Now dont we all wish the entire POTV Team was fibbing, and are really sat on massive Yachts in Barbados and doing this all in between hoards of scantily clad woman and glistening muscled men while being served fish n chips by a monkey???
We also believe that the most recent accusation of POTV charging Vendors to be on the forum, detailed here is directly related to this particular situation.
Until now, POTV has remained quiet about the incidents detailed here because at no time, were any other parties (aside from those all ready involved) affected by the malicious acts of the people behind this. The situation at hand is complicated at best, but POTV is not one to hide behind smoke and mirrors, we have always been honest and upfront with our membership and have no plans to sneak in the darkness to retaliate against these claims which are slanderous, libelous and defamatory in nature. We are more than happy to do it in the public's eye and let them see the evidence for themselves.
It saddens POTV's team deeply that in a community where we must fight worldwide for our right to vape, against political, tobacco and pharma giants, we are bothered with problems like these, nipping and yelping for attention.
POTV extends an invitation for the owner of the forum behind this smear campaign against POTV and our Admin/Mod team to get in contact directly with us via our Support Tab, to further discuss the issue at hand and hopefully come to an amicable solution to a situation he may not be fully informed about.
If any of our members feel that they may have been affected by this incident, whether knowingly or not, please get in touch and let us know so that we can be of further assistance if needed.

Seriously though, Andy is one of the nicest people I've ever had the priviege to meet.. I trust his ethics and integrity and it'd take a damn site more than a bit of trolling to change my opinion.
