Hi

Ok. It's a few weeks on from my original posts about the woes with my Innokin Endura T22.

I am still burning coils after less than a day of use, despite following all of your advice (at least the bits i understood lol)

I have nearly upgraded on several occasions but every time i am about to upgrade either something comes up which means i have to spend the cash on that instead. And/Or i read somewhere, someone saying "Don't get one of those, they....." or "Those aren't the latest models".

I thought about a Coolfire 4 TC but i don't really want to give Innokin any more of my £

Then i thought "The Smok Alien goes upto 220w. I'll not need to upgrade again if i get one of those". Then i saw loadsa people saying they were having problems with them.

Then i noticed somebody said they had coil problems with the T22. They solved this by putting a Nautilus Mini tank on it.

So, i thought i'd give it a try.

I thought it'd broke the T22 battery to start with as it just stayed red.

The Nautilus 2 tank comes with 2 coils. After some frowning i realised the 0.7 coil was the one pre-installed in the tank. Which is why the T22 battery couldn't fire it.

I swapped it over for the 1.8 coil. It fired but not much vapour. Hmmmm.

Then i remembered the air holes and opened them up all the way.

Cough. Splutter. Massive Grin. This is amazing. I will have to lower the nic level now i think.

Wow !

Thank you Aspire !

I think i have finally just landed on Planet Vape !!!!!

I cannot believe the difference. I am high as a kite both on nicotine and thrilled with discovering what real vaping is like.

Either the Innokin Prism tank is awful or the Nautilus 2 is brilliant. Or both !

This is incredible.

AND i just realised....i can get coils without having to travel 15 miles. :)

I'm glad it's working for you. Usually it just takes a little trial and error for things to click, regardless of what kit you're using. The Nauti would be even better on a Coolfire, where you can adjust the settings a little ;)

Cheers fella. I'm still planning to upgrade in the not to distant future. I got the new tank to paper over the cracks of the T22. I never expected such great results. The only slight downside is the smaller volume but this doesn't trouble me too much as i still have settled on a favoured flavour. Everything tastes fuller in the Nautilus. I've been bang at it all day long and not a hint of a burnt coil.

Then, when i DO need more coils, i can actually buy them in the same place i live ! No need to "send off" for them anymore.

Get the mod thats made for it, the Zelos mod. Infact, buy the whole kit so you have a spare tank and can quickly change flavours.

I don't know what you're paying for your coils, but it's usually worth planning ahead and stocking up from FT, where they're around £1.20 each.

Just make sure you choose the ones marked "Authentic".

What's FT ? Probably a silly question but it's late.

Anyway, i think i spoke too soon.

The Nautilus 2 was fantastic for a good 4 or 5 days (so still much better than the rubbish that Innokin make). Then i experienced a loss of flavour. This was bank holiday weekend so i had to wait 2 days to get another one.

I eventually removed the coil and yes, it was black. I had been caning it to be fair so that's ok.

I took the new coil and applied juice to the holes, waited for it to soak through, then repeated. I dropped a couple of drops down thd centre of the coil. Then filled the tank and left it 20 minutes.

Almost straightaway the coil tasted burnt. I persevered with it by putting it some Vampire Vape Heisenberg to disguise the burnt taste.

The following day (today) i bought 2 new coils at £3.50 a pop.

I took the coil out and yep, it was black. See photos. WTF?

New one in today and i'm 60% sure that this one is burnt already too.

Could this be a problem with the Endura T22 mod? It can't be too powerful though as it only fires at 14 watts. Can it? Perhaps it's misfiring or something.

I'm rapidly losing faith with the whole vaping thing though. It isn't cheaper than smoking and i'm not overly fussed about staying alive any longer, since i suffer with depression anyway.

One of you mentioned getting the Zelos mod. Well, i was actually thinking of getting the Speeder mod as my last throw of the dice. I want to try DTL as well as MTL

I just don't want to keep throwing money at this if my expectations are too high.

I'm sure there are thousands of people that don't have these vaping problems. I'm quite bitter toward not only Innokin but all those that gave the Endura T22 good reviews.

Or am i just doing something wrong?

@Triple Sub, sometimes it's just a matter of luck in how your equipment operates or in having the right person to guide you.

Vaping is still in the embryonic stage and manufacturers are more interested in getting people to buy more stuff than they are in producing reliable devices that will work consistently.

That's why you sometimes need a real love for vaping to make it work for you, and understandably, people with anxiety or depression are more likely to give up.

You definitely need to upgrade your mod to one with variable wattage. The Zelos would be a good choice as suggested by @dansus, or you could go for something more powerful with an RBA and also start building your own coils.

This will give you more flexibility, allowing you to experiment till you find your ideal setup, but more importantly, if you have any issues you can change the coil at a cost of 5p rather than £3.50.

Another good choice would be the Eleaf Pico, currently on offer at around £14 at Vape Wild: https://vapewild.eu/eleaf-pico-75w/

Post back for recommendations if you fancy the RBA idea, you can order one from FT (Fasttech) to save a few quid.

14w is a little high for the 1.6 or 1.8 ohm coils. Normally runs at 10-12 watts.

Get the Zelos kit and try the 0.7ohm coil. Having an variable wattage device will help you on your endeavours immensely.
