What's new

Is it really worth making your own juice?

I can fully understand not liking mixing your own.

I started DIY mainly to control what's in my juice. I continued because I liked what I made (only two juices right now, started a month ago). And I like the pricing, of course.

Are my juices better than those on the market? They're different. If you try to clone what you like, you'll probably never achieve it. I try to mix some of the tastes I like in commercial juices, to produce something different. For the moment, my DIYs are my all day.

But I love, in the evening, sitting in my sofa, have a good beer, and vape a commercial juice like Snake Oil, Ambrosia, Jack the Ripple, to name a few.

Everybody its own way, anyway.

Cheers.

I decided to try mixing, loved it as I have the option to mix my required/preferred PG/VG/taste/strength for myself & a few friends.I consider it as part of the hobby of vaping,to go with my RDA's/RBA's & building box mods.I've not found a pre-made juice that works in 0.3 ohm devices either, yet my own mixes are created to go in these very airy devices and still have plenty of taste.I often have a read of a drinkable juice label, and try to recreate the same vaping juice taste. If it ever results in a juice I don't like the taste of,I also have some menthol crystals to throw in which turns a rank juice into a perfectly acceptable vape. With the savings I get to treat myself to a premium makers bottle, but there are so many premium juices out there I just can't be arsed to try different ones so I usually just buy a couple of bottles from 2 or 3 suppliers I know I definitely like.

t juice sell their stuff in concentrate form

Well, that's a new can of worms opened! I didn't know that anyone did, errr, what are they called, 'final product'??? concentrates. That sounds ideal to me. I'm going to have to try out all the T Juice stuff then. :grin2:

I just had a look on Amazon. VG for under £10/litre, and PG for under £5/litre! I think I made a mistake buying 100ml of each.

Thanks for that possiblevaper, it's certainly opened a new avenue for me, and takes out the one area of DIY that I was struggling with.

Are there any other manufacturers who sell pre-mixed concentrates?

its the only way i mix now, i dont faff about trying to make my own recipe's when t juice stuff is sooo good :) mix your own prices with premium juice.
i'm screwed if they stop doing this lol. i use 15% in mine so a 30ml bottle of cencentrate does 200ml.

i dont know of any other premium juice company that sell their juices in concentrate form. i would like to know this too.

It took me a few goes to get 3 or 4 recipes that I`m happy with but now I can`t imagine going back to paying 12-15 quid for 30ml of pre made quality liquid.

I like being able to tailor my liquids to my taste with PG/VG levels and flavour strength, sweetness etc.

Also the fact that I can vape however much i want, whatever I want regardless of what EU stupidity gets foisted onto us.
I just like to be self-sufficient as much as possible.

Snake Oil is the only one I`ll still buy as an occasional treat.

I've got nearly two hundred bottles for God's sake!

:rotflmao:

That's exactly what I want to avoid! I could see myself doing something similar, and it was only after I discovered the bulk purchases that I thought I'd have a sanity check!

I would be surprised if it doesn't become more and more so. With the TPD, nicotine-containing liquids will become more difficult to put on the market, so concentrates as the T-Juice ones seem like the best option for juice makers.
Still have to find the nicotine-laced bases, though :grin2:.

That's pretty much what I think regarding the future. And don't fret about bases, they'll still be available, just from further afield... ;)

To be really cost-effective, you do need to buy in bulk and shop around for the best deals on different ingredients. You also do need a large selection of concentrates to have everything you mighr need to hand when you're concocting.
Given that we don't have to factor in various other business costs, the home mixer can get costs down to perhaos as littlw as 50p-60p per 10ml bottle (even less if you were on very low or zero nic).

I've not mixed anything I hated, though a few were not necessarily blends I'd bother with again, or still need more work to perfect. I do have a handful that I mix up regularly & really love as they are
