Is my tank knackered?

Had the freemax mesh (not pro) for a few months now.

Recently had a few packs of dud ( I assumed they were fake and got a refund) X1 coils- which all tasted foul (burnt rubber) and gave a hell of a lot of ashy black bits on drawing a puff. All coils burned out in a day or less and the ashy bits were a bit worrying to be honest.

I've now got another pack of coils from a reputable retailer and although they seem to be working fine - I'm still getting a wee bit of ashy/black bits exiting with liquid from the air holes. The tank was given a full boiling water cleanup.

So - is it a coil issue or a tank issue? I assumed the authentic coils would've solved the ashy bits issue but I'm still getting the odd bit coming out?

Take the tank apart completely and leave to soak in warm soapy water. Clean and throughly rinse. Use a cotton bud to get in the drip tip and other nooks and crannies. Basically give a really good clean. [emoji1]

Probably still some small parts of ashy residue hanging around somewhere. You should have a spare bag of O rings too that you can replace just to be sure you've got all the ashy crap out!

^^^ yup, I'd say change all 'O' rings if you can.
