Not particularly more expensive.

I never thought I would buy a 'collection' of vape gear or buy multiples of mods/tanks that I like just to own them in different colours which obviously means that I habitually spend more on vape gear than I absolutely have to, but on average I've spent approximately the same as I would on rolling tobacco and papers so financially I'm nor worse off.

I only thought of it in terms if savings from fags for the very first bit. If I use that model then yeah I've definitely saved money! Smoking is mostly forgotten now for me which I never thought would happen so I just try to limit myself to a sensible amount and a new vape or fancy juice for birthdays and Christmas. And fathers day. And Easter!

As a healthier alternative, way WAY cheaper.

As a hobby, yeah, next question please ;)

Even without adjusting for tobacco price hikes; on average £15 a day on fags = £35.5k I would've spent on tobacco since I joined this forum. Spent a lot on vaping (the vast majority of which was spent just for fun and curiosity and was unnecessary spending) but I sure as hell haven't spent that much. Initial outlay when first starting out can be high as you find what works and what you like but the cost is dwarfed by the cost of long term smoking and that's without getting in to the actual benefits of switching to vaping. Once you find the right kit and juice the cost of vaping is negligible compared to smoking, unless you to choose to spend over and beyond what's strictly necessary.

I spend less in a month on vaping than I did in a week on smoking. Plus I'm happy with my vape gear so don't feel the need to buy every new mod or tank that comes out.

Considering I use too smoke roll ups & go through a 50 ounce pack a week which is now almost 30 quid, compared too what I spend now on me & the Mrs I spend roughly 40 a month on liquid so you do the maths

And £500 a Month on Gear lol. I find vaping far more expensive than smoking. There are far too many vendors selling gear that you want or feel you need lol. I am addicted to Ali Express and just spent another £75 ish on 3 more Limelight Boro Tanks and a Wick'd Bridg'd RBA. Think these might be the last things i buy this year.

I am now virtually cured of shinyitus but in the past I was always buying the latest thing after watching reviews and seeing them cooing and drooling about how great this new tank/mod was and that it was so amazing you just had to buy it. Now I have just a few rta's/mods and buy nothing apart from ingredients to make juice so my spend is about £15 a month whereas if I was still smoking it'd be about £30 a day.

Last thing this year? Are you sure? There's still 2 days left :D

I don't know about the world of boros and I'm not even gonna look at them or ask how good they are. Only thing I know is they are expensive and there are lots of varieties and options. That's one dark rabbit hole too far for me!
