Hiya and welcome. I'm so jealous of your mini. My Austin mini got stacked when some cock of a boy racer in his nova lost control and took us out. I had literally just got it rebuilt with a crazy fast tuned 1380 engine (125bhp!!!), sports exhaust system, wide wheels and arches, seriously upgraded breaks and luckily a roll cage which did its job and saved my oh from serious injury as he was driving and it was the drivers side that got the worst of it. We were just taking it out for its first proper drive after taking it for tuning. My insurance company was closed for Xmas so although I rang them to let them know what had been done they refused to pay out and I ended up having to sell it fo parts. Mind you it was an animal and I probably would have come a cropper sooner or later! Brilliant little cars mind you it wasn't a beetle (the true loves of my life!).

Ohh sounds nasty purpleflower. My mini is just a box standard 998 and unmolested (at the moment) I'm planning on fitting a stage 1 kit after the new year and upgrading the brakes to disks on the front. I can't believe the price of 1275 engines these days. I can remember you could buy a shagged out 1275 mini (complete) for £100 lol I'm hoping to take the mini to the IMM in Italy next year so fingers crossed the finances stack up lol
