Kanger Protank review

Haha that's exactly how my stock heads were, 3 coils each side with a big gap in the middle, I wonder if they do it like that on purpose for some reason or is it like we suspect and just poorly wound ;)

Yeah, all my stock heads were like that, bit they don't seem to work too well!

Think I read somewhere that they coil them with the gap as they are closer to the juice then. Im a proper newb and ii reckon ill be re wicking in a week or two haha

Actually just running some Lemon Meringue Pie flavour through it right now, and it tastes great.

So it seems changing the wick sorts the flavour issue for all (?) juices.....maybe!

I have been making my own wicks and coils for the protank using 2 x 2.5 wick and 6 coils of 0.2 wire giving me 2.8 ohms. Seems I have found my sweet spot with this combo on my provari so try a few different setups to find yours :).

Wonder if the stock heads are Fiberglass wicks ?

With silica wicks you always get better flavour. It goes something like this -

FiberGlass can work at a higher temp before it starts to scorch but mutes the flavour somewhat.
Silica scorch's easier than FG but you get more flavour.

I do my wicks on Evods and Protank ( When I get one soon ) like whipitup does too , 2x 2mm silica with 4-5 wraps of whatever size kanthal I'm into at the time.
Glorious Flavour and vapour ! ( for about 2-3 days anyway then I recoil it again )

This is exactly what I wanted to hear. Flavour is much more important to me than throat hit etc. Now where to get some wire and wick.......ebay?......
