Kangertech coils update

Hi all
I had some kangertech 0.5 stainless steel shop bought coils that was going to use in temp mode on my topbox .Just as I started to take a draw of it I knew it was to hot and stopped .Went as low as possible in C/F and still hot so I then set to watts instead .Now today I got myself some 1.2 stainless steel ones not tried in temp mode as yet will these be OK to use .

UPDATE I now have bought the genuine stainless steel coils that have the pink seal at the bottom. these also won't work in temp mode .So maybe bad batch of coils or my mod is faulty the ni200 coil it came with worked fine in temp mode and it work fine in watt mode

What colour is the insulator on the bottom of the coil? there's some confusion over SSOCC coils actually being SS wire.

If you have the right ones (i.e. the ones that actually have an SS wire inside), they should work with TC in SS mode. If they are getting too hot, it is probably either a calibration problem, or you are trying to use them in Ni or Ti mode by accident (which will always cause SS to overheat).

@danb hi yes they are original checked them if I put them in ss mode and try to vape it is red hot even going to the lowest setting in temp mode meaning C/F how do you calibrate it if this can be done

Check the manual, I've never used that mod. You need to make sure you are in SS mode and that you calibrate the coil at room temperature.

If it has a pink band it is not temp control use in watt mode,temp control is blue band
