Kayfun & ZNA 50 setup

Hi guys, wondering if anyone can help. I have just brought a cloupor ZNA 50 and fitted my trusty kayfun.

I am currently vaping around 10 watts at 1.4 ohms, but I seam to be getting a warm Vape with a fairly muted flavour in comparison.

Should I be looking to get a coil around 1.8 - 2 ohms and up the wattage a bit?

How do you set your kayfuns up for higher wattage?

I personally like my Kayfuns at 1.2 - 1.6ohms, wicked with Koh Gen Doh. if I have them on my Vaporshark rDNA I usually have it at 10 - 12 watts which gives me good flavour and vapour. It is best to experiment until you find a setup that you like. I also use my Kayfuns on a mech mod and that setup works just fine.

Around the 1.4ohm mark (maybe 1.2/1.3ohm) is around the sweet spot IMO for a microcoiled Kayfun. If you want higher ohms then try a larger internal diameter ie winding your coil around something a little thicker or try a couple more wraps. Alternatively a thinner wire (higher gauge) will give you a higher resistance. Have you tried upping your watts to around 13/14? That should be magic with your current coil.

Thanks a lot for the replies! Will definitely be trying this tomorrow.

Just as a side note, the vapour has seamed a lot thicker in my throat with this setup and seams to be giving me a little bit of a cough. Is this normal?
