Leaking aromamizer?

Ok, I'm all out of ideas.

This has been a new development, maybe the last week or so, and suspiciously since I swapped the base for the v2, and the top cap for a 6ml instead of the 3ml

If I lay her down on her side, she will randomly dump all the juice out the airholes.

Figured I must have wicked her badly, so recoiled and rewicked, she seemed fine... for a few days then randomly dumped out juice.

I've checked and all the parts are screwed in tight, wick seems ok, a little overboard if anything, any thoughts? I would have expected this sort of tantrum from a Griffin, but not the almighty aromamizer!

The v2 will need more cotton over the deck than the v1 as the juice holes are bigger. Ive not laid my v1 on its side as the last time i did it pissed out everywhere, this is down to the design in a way as there is no effective airlock and air will pass through the airhole and deck releasing the pressure in the tank

have you compare new to old components to check for o ring placements?

Good idea @stevietee I didn't think to change o rings, will give that a go.

And you too @Jugg1es, sorry to hear you had probs with the v1 leaking too, it's been fine for me to just chuck in my handbag normally, but now my handbag smells of banana milkshake!

I've always found they leak a little if layed on its side I wouldn't say the v2 upgrade was any different than the v1 it's just a case of getting enough wicking in without blocking the juice flow imo

Just a thought are you using any thinner juice than usual.

I usually rearrange the cotton at the base over the juice holes better which seems to work using needle nose tweezers usually

Thanks darlings, I shall have a tinker with my cotton, I guess I've been lucky so far, and the last two builds or so maybe I just didn't cotton it up enough.
It was a 90% vg juice that leaked last, so I don't think it's the juice that's the problem!
But I have been playing with fibre freaks cotton which is lovely and whispy, so that might do it.

Could be that a 90%vg juice is avg (thinned with water) which would make it bit thinner than your usual juice but if so would probably be quite obvious
