Lockdown V3

Yeah, on what charge ! Obstructing the police from performing their duties probably. Pathetic really isn't it.

I’d have argued that you were enforcing the law @HAZZA1962 in that you were aiding the visibility of the speed van, as they were clearly hiding- which defeats the object of being a deterrent in the first place. You were raising awareness within the local motorist of the speed limit thus helping said officers do their job.

Missed this bit first read.

Looks like V3 till May...............

Reports emerged at the weekend that restrictions were due to stay in place until at least March 23, the anniversary of the start of the first lockdown, with further opening of the economy scheduled for the May bank holiday. Downing Street sources said it was too early to discuss dates for alleviating restrictions.

Is it any wonder the police are hated.
However, whether you like it or not the police do not need a warrant or your permission to enter your house if they suspect a crime is being committed or are chasing a suspect into the house.
They do need a warrant to search your premises though.

Best thing to do is comply and sue them later if they got it wrong [emoji6]

Please explain that to the children (of the family concerned), and how do you comply, in this case, when you're already complying, with the regulations?

And how do you sue the police, if you don't have the money to do so, what with legal aid, being, all but abolished?

These were law abiding parents, in their own home, being subjected to common assault, by uninvited persons, in the pay of the authorities. This is the UK, not North Korea.
