that kind of stuff has always happened. when the polis come to your door, swearing at them, pointing in their face and squaring up to them will never improve the outcome.

there are hundreds of videos on youtube of “free men on the land” arguing and scuffling with the polis and generally making their situation worse. it’s stupid, and even worse if you have children in the house. irresponsible, in fact.

A situation they were put in, and not of their own making. It's a tinderbox situation out there, one little spark, boom. You've seen and experienced, how quickly things can spiral out of control, here on POTV. It's all too easy to say, they (the parents) shouldn't have done this, they shouldn't have said that. In a real time, live situation, it's not easy for people, including I may add, the police and the like, to always act in a manner, that is advantageous, rather than disadvantageous. Both parties in this case did not act in the best of ways, yet you seem to lay the blame at the door of stressed parents, who have just been invaded.

they were put in the situation because people phoned the polis to report they were having a party. whether they were or not, all i am saying is that shouting and swearing at the polis at your front door, when they are following up a complaint from people in the area, is never going to be a good look or make the outcome better. you can hear her daughter shouting at her to stop it and her man had to put himself in between her and the officer. not a good look.
you say i am laying the blame at the door of the “stressed parents”. i don’t know anything about it other than the video and the media reports, which say their neighbours thought they were having a party.
i’m not defending the polis, just pointing out that being hostile and aggressive towards them is stupid. they’ve now been charged with assaulting police. i’ve know n people who have lost their jobs over stuff like this. it’s just stupid.

Indeed, there's a lot of it about. I don't think I would finger point and swear, in that situation, but madness abounds, and I'm quite cranky myself, atm, to be honest.
I wouldn't have even answered the door to be honest, I'd have sneaked out the back and gone for a walk, and let them kick my door in, then sue them for breaking into an empty house !!! We've got a couple of Bizzies round our way who are sound, and the rest are arrogant arseholes !!!
