Lockdown V3

Yeah, the 5 mile thing.
Where's that come from?
Can't we do it in metric? That'd help.
Bollocks.
Crap.
I'm picking up some pills later. I'm not checking the mileage ... or exercising...
Fuck.

I live remotely I am 15 mins by car to the nearest town I am half a mile from the nearest house deep in the countryside but in all the lockdowns the amount of walkers that appear is amazing but this only happens in the lockdowns I don't see any walkers or bike riders when we are not in lockdown the trouble with all the rules is they are not concise

the two girls who got fined they have had their moment of fame if we look at the background they wanted to meet up for exercise so they got in there car drove 5-7 mins on the way they both stopped for a takeaway coffee etc ok in theory there is nothing wrong apart from the main thing "stay at home" both of the girls live in nice houses but both live further away than is permitted to meet up (one in another county) so in theory, it's too far to walk to each other's houses i.e a 7 min drive up a duel carriageway is further than a 7 min drive on a country lane so I'm splitting hairs but remember one thing they were all over the news on morning telly then they also had a photoshoot with the papers as well, holding a coffee (for real, really come on)

but what I'm saying is they got in there car stopped for a takeaway met up to go for a walk.....how many interactions with people is there and what if one car breaks down or they have an accident "staying at home" means........ stay at home

as for Boris, he's a twat what did you expect the 80k dead won't be sending him a Christmas card

for me it's simple I stop at home when I'm not at work I don't want to be at work I don't want to go there but I have too ever time I walk out or get the negative result the sense of relief is huge

I overheard a colleague on the phone listening to him talking to his brother, his brother was bored moaning over how hard it was sitting at home and jogging on his running machine...

"would you rather be here dying playing pass the covid parcel"

"of course not"

"well shut the fuck up moaning"

if we cant stop the spread next week or the week after a 1000 people dying a day will look like small figures

everyman and his dog are looking for a way to bend the rules, how bad do people want this to get 1500 hundred dead a day or perhaps 2000, maybe 2500 I would love to know the figure.....

when I went to do shopping in the first lockdown I saw people I work with, all of us wore masks and gloves with a knowing nod we did our shopping at breakneck speed whilst getting funny looks from other shoppers at the time none of the public wore masks at that point.

if I thought I could hole up here drop a couple of trees across the lane and give terry his favourite gas-powered semi-automatic I would

i was confused when it was brought to my attention that we can travel 5 miles outside the council area to go for the walk. but someone was saying to me sturgeon mentioned this in one of her briefings, and said it was important as it means people can drive somewhere quiet to walk, rather than having hundreds of people wandering about a park, for people in cities. i dunno, maybe it makes sense.

it might be that it has spilled over from the scottish rules.

it's all very vague

my local village will take me 30 to 40 mins to walk too less if I plod across muddy fields and wade across a river 5 miles in a city is a vast amount of houses and people to pass but all the news is focused on the distance and the rules and the police

me and Liz had words over the girls I was like throw the fucking book at them she was like all they were doing, nothing wrong etc but she goes ape when she comes home from her work saying the roads are packed

but he was apparently with his security personnel. this seems to me to be more than two people from more than two households, consorting in a public place away from all of their local areas. they should throw the book at him. :)
I dont think his security personnel were on the back of his bike. He was in his local area and he was exercising and had a mask on, sounds like he was following the rules and being responsible.
I tend to only go out with my security detail and hair stylist just in case any paparaatzi are around.

what people are saying is that travelling 7 miles isn’t the local area, especially in central london. but especially when you consider the 7 miles travel wasn’t to arrive at a quiet place with less people, it was in fact to go and cycle around a popular and busy park, full of people who do actually reside in it’s local area.

Maybe one should stop and think that there may of been a very good reason for that little outing.

It's frustrating. The focus should be on interactions with other people, that's what's causing the virus to spread, not on how far you've travelled from your house or how long it's taken you.

I drive 9miles to my local RSPB wildlife area with my wife. Pack lunch and flask in hand with binoculars/spotting scope and spend a good 4hrs sitting in open wetland with no one else around.
If we happen to come across anyone, there is so much room it's never an issue.
You can socially distance by many many yards. No forgetting it's open marshland so the wind is blowing.
