What's new

Long story - need an AIO for flavour

Thanks Dee,

I have looked at the PM30 and have ordered one firstly based on your recommendation and secondly on the review on you tube from DJLsb Vapes, he has the new 1.2 mesh GTX coil in it and reckons the flavour is one of the best. And he is probably the most unbiased reviewers out there.

Struggling a little to find many suppliers with this new coil in stock, so I’m thinking of also trying the 0.8 mesh based on what someone else said further down the thread - question is though will the 0.8 be ok to use in the PM30, ie will the chipset recognise it ?

I looked at the Zeta and Omega and I’m not a lover of the square mods, so still wouldn’t have looked more favourably towards the PM30 anyway.

I shall let you know my thoughts once it arrives, hopefully mine has the 1.2 mesh coil in as well as the other 2 as some are saying it gets shipped with 3 coils ? (Oh and I found a couple of XL pods on eBay also)

0.8 ohm coil works fine in PM30. It will be a looser draw than the 1.2 ohm though

I don’t know too much about pods, the one I use at work is the Vaporesso Xtra, the .8 meshed coils are great, really good flavour for mouth to lung and can handle 70vg, haven’t tried harder. Best stock coils for mtl in my opinion

Ah that’s good to hear, I’m going to try both the 1.2 & 0.8 mesh coils, seen a really positive review from the new 1.2mesh coils for flavour so fingers crossed.

May have a look if the PM30 doesn’t do it, as I like the look of the Drag’s
Yeah.
The PM30 is another good device, but is a lot more simple and basic.

Let me share the voopoo PnP coil chart. As you can see, the variety is similar to the GTX family from Vaporesso. And, specifically, the 0.8 and the 1.0 ohm coils are regular wired coils ;)

I dont know man, considering where you come from maybe the Drag S/X may fit better your needs: adjustable airflow, adjustable wattage, posibility of having DTL if you want.... lot of pros VS regular mods, sticks, and so.

And!
Maybe you aer tempted by this beauty:
VOOPOO_Argus_Air_Classic_Black.jpg

It takes also PnP coils from 0.6 and above.

...man, manufacturers should hire us or pay something for selling their products :D

That Argus Air sure does look nice. Very tempting......... But I will see how I get on with the PM30 first - damn, it does look good though.

had one a day now. Lurve IT!!

Got lots wrong on paper, looks real boxy, is damn heavy for its size, BUT IS A GREAT VAPE..

for me with the 0.25 ohm Pod (yes pod+coil = 1 unit!!) i have set the low power to 8w via escribe s/w usb link for a great vape for me. seems low but it works great ;)

check out the spare pods with removable coils too though they do exist but dont ship with the device only all in one pods.. still a bargain tho

How’s the battery life on yours? Bit disappointed with mine had it a week now, I seem to be getting 2-2.5 hours use daily with the 0.25 pod, usually go through 2 pods by then on lowest setting. Pods lasted 6 days needs replacing now but 6 days isn’t bad, that was with 70/30.

Have you tried the replaceable coils? I asked about these on FT forum but they recon its a no go as the contacts are in a different place?

Finally hooked up my BB to the evolve site and stuck this on to change the colours (colour blind so needed to change this to Blue, Yellow & Red!) Did you get any joy with the lost vape update on the Preva? Might give it a go later

Hi @Chuck Norris, battery life is great day 3 now and still green light on the first charge, The replaceable coil pods are a snugger fit i think the bottom mounted air flow ring is a bit big, so it needs a wee shove to go in that last 1mm and needs a good tug to remove afterwards..
Only just checked this out because of your Q above..

The coil contacts however seem to be similarly placed to connect to the device but as mine is a dry unused pod as yet i have not verified it but it looks good.. I may take a file to the proud grip ridges on the air flow control ring however for an easier in/out, in is ok but atm out is a pita....

I have the escribe s/w already installed for use with other dna mods and used that to make changes for my vape and have only downloaded and installed the V20 update from the above link.
Which cleared up my confusion.. As the standard evolve s/w allows you to add as many coil profiles as you want already,
The upgrade provides the facility for 5x power levels in each coil profile rather than the default 3x ;) But No I have not attempted the update as so far i only have need for the one low power setting,
So its not a feature i need to install right now..

sorry cant answer more definitively yet

Thanks mate, I might pick up one of the new pods on FT to see if it works. Got the 0.5ohm pod in here now, seems better than the 0.25 been Irving it in off all day and still good

I’ll try the update tonight when my little girl gives me 5 mins peace!

Curiosity overtook me and i Filled the replaceable coil pod. THEY WORK!! The coil central pin is eccentric, and if you inspect the mod contacts one side is nominally close to the wall than the other,, Just ensure the eccentric +ve coil pin is orientated to minimise the distance to the edge on the matching side with your mod and it will vape great.. if it remains leak free like the sealed pods??????

I clipped the spur of plastic on the pod top thin end to no avail its still a very tight fit needing fingernails to part the pod from the mod before an almighty tug..
