Looking for a kit

LOL - the Kanger Protank and Protank mini are pyrex, so aren't vulnerable to flavours that can damage the plastic tanks. I have a protank on order (and looking longingly at the mini at the mo). They are more expensive, and perhaps this is something you could look at getting later (once she's vaping already, there's less of an issue perhaps going for a small fasttech order).
I think there's a sticky thread on tank crackers in the forum - but I know that cinnamon is one to beware of and some banana blends have attacked tanks, though I've made up my own banana butterscotch without any problems.

I got my first 1.8ohm heads from www.vapingmatters.co.uk at £1.99 each, but have ordered more from fasttech (Evods, Protanks, Protank minis all take the same heads) - but most general e-cig vendors will sell heads - you may well find the site you choose for juice will also sell accessories

Re the Evod - I paid a little more for one that was described as genuine Kanger.

By the way, the £7.49 ego/clearomiser is £9.99 with no nic juice - so go for no juice and buy that separately.

I'm going to get one of those myself!

So buy two of those kits for £7.49 plus a couple of EVODs and some juice from wherever?

Seems like a good plan to me. Get her going with that lot - then look at any upgrades as she gets hooked ;)

One quick question; do you have to do anything with the carto before you use them to vape properly?

I suppose some people might wash & dry them - to be honest, I just threw in the juice and got vaping!

You often get advice to give batteries a full charge before use, but they usually come with a full charge. They will be disabled when they arrive - you just have to press the button quickly 5 times to activate

I just hear a lot of people mentioning 'priming' the cartomizers or something

The juice soaks the wick (thus drawing it to the coil for heating) - less for an evod because it's immersed in the liquid and the wick is much shorter. Doesn't take long for either of them when full, though (rolling the CE4 a little will help to soak the wick). I don't recall there being any delay - by the time the thing was full and put together - I was vaping happily

Some people will immediately recoil a stock head, as they prefer the quality of their own. I've not gone down that road yet (but planning on getting the gear for it). Us newbies just fill & go!
