Looking to start squonking

Forgot - Wismec have released a combo squonk / dual battery 21700 mod if you want battery life and flexibility of using as a normal dual battery mod. Reviews are just starting but worth looking into. I have no idea if any good but I liked their luxotic although it seems to have leaking issues (I haven’t experienced this).

I'm very used to VV on my Tesla ATM. I've used a few wattage devices friends have had. So Niagara suits me there. Question about the pulse too, what battery would you recommend to use for it? I want longer battery life than standard 18650.

I am ordering one of these for mine:

The battery life on the Squeeze isn't great in TC mode but okay on VW mode, but I would have a 2nd as it won't last you all day unless you are a low wattage or light user.

I will be revising my review of the Pico Squeeze 2 to recommending the kit now, I have shoved a different coil (SS316) in the coral V2 and positioned it slightly higher and it's pretty good plus you get a battery included.

The Niagara how ever is a Dual Battery and last very well with the Fogstar 18650's, I went for some Samsung 25R's.

I own both mods and if I had to replace one of them it would be the Niagara with it's battery life and performance, I am quite happy with the wattage only using my Squonk RDTA.

Personal preference though it might not be right for you.

Alternative for regulated is the rsq squonk mod made with rig mods. Can get for <£60 in uk and much less from China. Nice and pocket friendly. 18650 only though.

Unregulated - the Hugo squeezer is <£20 in uk and takes 18650 and 20700. Light and nice looking imho. Pico squonk looks good but don’t have one.

Pulse is a good choice but I sidelined it when I got my rsq just because rsq is smaller and I like the way it looks better. I have two rsq’s

Rage - really like it but is a home mod - to big to carry. Bastion looks interesting but don’t need another home squonk mod. I will probably buy one at some point though.

Beware if you like squonking you may find yourself buying new mods more than before. They are somewhat addictive. Lots of high end squonks that are smaller / subjectively better looking.

Disclaimer - as I travel a lot for work I don’t take squonks with me - I tend to use mtl devices as they more portable. But at home I always have the rage setup with a restricted DTL single coil and rsq with galaxies for mtl.
Sat on the fence about unregulated devices honestly, however I have seen majority of squonkers are unregulated. I keep looking about and see something I like in each one o find haha. May be a case of buying different ones and seeing which is my goto.

Also a different question..I do wrap my own coils but sometimes Id rather just use a pre made and save myself the hassle, any recommendations for pre made coils?

Ah sweet. Thanks for the battery recommendation heard a lot of good things about fogstar cells. I think my Tesla will always be with me for work my squonker would be more for at home and trips at the weekends which leans me towards the Niagara for extended battery life. The pulse does look more pocket friendly though. I like them both for different reasons may be just a case of getting rage/Niagara/pulse and seeing which I prefer...then I need to look at BF RDA's to fit my fancy too...expensive hobby.

I like making my own coils but I have mostly been using Coilology Ni80 7 in 1 kit mulipacks, some superb coils, fast ramp and great quality.

Ordered some from Fastech, well cheap, almost as cheap as making your own, you can also get SS316L packs.

Brilliant thanks mate, been a great help[emoji106]

100 posts and you get access to the Classifieds Forum where you will find some great used bargains, best place to get some starter gear.

Any questions there's always someone that has the knowledge to help you.

The Niagara comfortably fits in jeans pockets but it's pretty heavy, I tend to take my Pico 2 out with a spare cheaper 20700 battery or 2 as it takes those & 18650 at a push.

Sweet that sounds good I'll make to 100 posts eventually and can then swing by and take a look through there. Thanks again mate for all the help!

You're welcome, I learned a lot from the other members and still learn something new most days, great place for advice and no question is too daft.

Hope you find a setup you enjoy, and of course when you do you are bound to have questions on it so you know where to ask now.
