So, this morning, after charging my batteries, I noticed this. My DNA 75 Therion seems happy to run using only one battery. Whilst slightly amusing, I’m now wondering if the mod is faulty, or even safe? I’ve cleaned the contacts with dry kitchen roll and the same thing happens.

Advice or suggestions please.

As simong said. The DNA 75 and 75c board's are as happy with one battery as they are with two.
Actually quite a few mods are. The eleaf istick 100 always gave you the choice but limited the output.

The 75w board was designed to run on 1 cell, most 75/80w mods are, the Skar uses the same board with a single cell (but a 26650 in that case) ..... in the Therion the extra one is just along for the ride to give you better battery life, it's not needed to function though.

The clue is that both the positive terminals are in the same position, hence they are running in parallel. This means the nominal voltage is the same, but the ah is doubled, as is the runtime.
