Magnetic firing switch?

@man_d Have you added a spacer to your 4nine switch? Apparently it's supposed to make a massive difference to shorten the throw.

In case you haven't got a link for the spacers, you can pick them up quite well priced from: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Spider-Mag...21236017&_sid=971925597&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322

8x0.5 is supposedly what people are using. Other folk have the 8x1.0 spacers which reduces the throw even more. I'd love to tell you that I own a 4nine but sadly I don't. I'll put it on my Xmas list and get it right before the 5ten is released.

Apologies if this is already known!

I have added one, it makes quite a noticeable difference to the throw with a button top battery, not so much with a flat top. Actually not sure if I'm supposed to use flat tops, I know they added the insulator that wasn't on the first versions so I think it's ok now but I've read somewhere people saying not to use flat tops especially with the magnet spacer.. Sam will probably know actually, ElsaBubs am I going to blow myself up?

SHMO says it's recommended to only use button tops but someone more qualified than Google and I may be able to give you the reason why.

I have hardly used my 4nine but when I have used it I have used magnets and I haven't blown myself up yet. I'm still here ya bastards

You've been quite quiet lately so I did wonder :P You using flat or button tops?

I really like mech mods with magnetic firing buttons. My first mech was a magneto, and besides being relatively cheap and well built, the button is really smooth, wont wear out like a spring, and is very consistent.
