It is important not to make these mistakes with a mech.
It does not sound to me that you have done enough homework to use a mech safely.
At least you asked the question, but if you had done enough homework you would not have had to ask.
Read all you can about ohms law and battery safety and watch youtube videos on the subject.
Till then I do not think you should be using a mech.

Look at it the other way, how high of a resistance can you go while still getting an acceptable vape for yourself. The more resistance your coil has the less hard it will be on your battery and the safer it will be. Is there a reason you feel you need to push the battery to it's very limits?

You are obviously concerned about safety or you wouldn't have asked, so why not run your batteries lower than the CDR so you know you aren't pushing them beyond what is safe?
