Just to drill and mount the usb charging board, then solder the connections and this will be ready to rock.

Specifications...

4 x 1000 MaH lipo cells in parallel
@Speedy 510 beef up kit
3amp rated mom switch
80 amp mosfet
Copper brake pipe
FT 510 connector

Result of this should mean barely zero voltage drop whatever sub-ohm RDA build I go for. I was using 14awg silicon wires but as soon as I dropped below 0.3 ohms I started getting bigger voltage drops than 0.1 v. The USB board should fit in below the brake pipe and mean I can leave the atty on whilst charging and not discover puddles of juice that's leaked out.

Grrrrr, spent the majority of my day altering this from wires to copper pipe, relocating the USB charge board, soldered in a bigger mosfet(usually use tiny little pita types)and almost fried my soldering iron heating lumps of copper, finished the changes and eagerly hunted out my in line voltmeter. Checked drop with no atty, zero as it should be, screwed on my RDA and was horrified to see a bigger drop than my other box using a tiny mosfet and 14AWG wiring. Quick poke of the fingertip at the mosfet found the larger sized mosfet getting hotter than my fucking atty so tomorrow I'll have to remove the large 1 and try a tiny mosfet, check for voltage drop and if it's worse than the wired 1 I'm going to be very very VERY fucking angry and might just launch the fucker down my garden. Won't fix it but might twat an oik over the head and persuade them to fuck off to a field to play fucking football.

Good work fella. Did you try that mosfet I sent you? I haven't tested them yet.
That thing will pump out the power. One thing I've found with the beef up kit is the screw may need to be ground down a bit so if you get a short, try that.

Thanks Seedy,yes tried the mosfet & found huge VD so swapped back to a tiny mosfet.Then discovered a possible reason for the huge VD was 1 of the lipo cells tabs had broken off so that cell is in the trash & I'm left with 1 more spare cell for similar events.Spent hours & hours soldering as copper tube doesn't just conduct electricity well but is also a twat to solder as it conducts heat well too(so even my 100 watt iron has a struggle)I finally had to give up at about 4 am as my 100 watt iron did a thermal cut-out and the 25 watt just quit working,and I didn't get it reassembled.

I'll have to buy another soldering kit(this 1 is about 20yrs old,came with 2 irons 100/25 watt & a desoldering pump + stand + spare tips)asap as without a decent iron,I'm going to have to cure my "meddling moods" with recoiling bloody attys :P

Thats cool that my mosfet probably works alright but gutted about your tools. Best add a router on the sly to your tool order ;)

:rofl: Not a chance mate, she would suss it instantly as she has the bank account. She says I can have a new soldering kit so I'll have a fancy variable power jobby for 30 quid that dies in a month or 3 instead of £7 that only lasts 20 years.:P
I've had a look at router prices, and that's going to have to wait until after Hawkshead (and the car tax/etc)when I've saved up some cash.
