Nice little device,though not sure I'd want that size as I'm presently steaming through 4000 MaH lipo pack in 6-12 hours & a 2000 MaH in a couple hours. I've just received a bunch of 2200 MaH 40C cells and struggling to find a metal box they will definitely fit in,found a China supplier that does a Hammond box that (if it is actually the size it says) should take a couple of cells(though prefer it to take 4)for some 8.4V vaping.

Christ chegs, that some serious vaping! My 3000mAh box lasts me a couple of days even running 100w +. This little box is really better suited to the GF as she always runs a spheroid set-up at around 1.3 and she is used to 14500 mods so life for her is plenty and 45min charge makes life easy.

I have everything from 600-3000mAh cells to play with, I think the 1000mAh are probably the most versatile or the little 750mAh nano-techno ones. The 3000's are too big for a sensible build. I did briefly look at the 4000 nano tech extreme but they are also too big.

The 4000 mah cell pack was 4 x 1000 mah cells soldered into a pack,charged via USB PCB 1A board until last week when I finally bit the bullet & bought an iMax balance charger.Since the arrival of the balance charger the 2 box mods seem to run for quite some time longer,though I've not really run an actual time of vaping trial with them since the arrival of the balance charger.

Turnigy 1000mAh 1S 20C Lipoly (Single Cell) These cells are the ones I'm using in my present box mods.

Yep those are the ones, I have a few of those sat waiting for a project.

I am getting much better at putting these packs together now, it's definitely a learning curve. I have just finished pack number 4(4x750 Turnigy Nano) and it looks vastly better then my first attempt.
I got a load of battery pack heat shrink in a load of different sizes which has made them a lot neater too- would recommend having some to hand.

The LiPo's have definitely won me over, they definitely hit harder and for longer than a standard IMR type battery. My focus is definitely on building more mods with a LiPo packs.

I'm getting asked to build box mods for mates, been refusing to though as lipo's aren't really the best for someone to start out with. The people asking me don't even understand the relevance of keeping a freshly primed RDA upright, so expecting them to understand the importance of lipo care to avoid a venting incident is probably pushing it lol

Yep I have had the same and not really a good idea for newcomers.

I was pressed into making a couple for some experienced friends last week, and I explained all the risks and my rough building skills etc but still they wanted a box. Hopefully they will be done soon and I can start my own squonking project.

Sqounking box appeals, but on top of a high power lipo VV system. Made from modified clone RDA, but still small enough to be easily portable, and require very few tools to build.
