Ive been vaping for a little over 2 months now. After about a week or so i started waking up without the horrible taste in my mouth that i used to get from smoking! Also the girlfriend so reliably informs me that i stopped snoring aswell (happy days). Just this week though i have noticed that i have been waking up with the dry crappy taste in my mouth again and the missus also says i have started snoring again! Is this a common occurance amongst vapours? Could it be related to the types of liquid i am using? Or could it be that i am vaping far too much?

Number 1 rule of vaping, stay hydtated! Pg can cause dry mouth sobif after a few days of upping your water intake, you're still dry mouthed try a vg heavier juice. I vape 50/50 because I am sensitive to pg

Which leads to my next question.......Whats the difference between PG & VG, why are they mixed etc

Theyre both vapable and relatively safe for human consumption.

VG is the main ingredient in most cough syrups and PG is the main ingredient in most asthma inhalers.

PG offers more of a throat hit and a dryer vape while VG is heavier and offers more vapour, a little bit of a sweeter vape. People who experience dry mouth, itchy throat, or dry skin, tend to go to a lower PG mixed juice which is a higher VG based juice. Most people aren't allergic to PG but some can experience something skin hives, which normally goes away.

For most people who aren't allergic to one or the other it's a trade off as each brings something different to the Vaping table as it were.

PG offers a cleaner taste IMO, and is best for throat hit, that whack at the back of the throat that most, not all, find satisfying. Of the two it is often attributed to the mouth drying effect.

VG provides more vapour and often adds a slight sweetness to the flavour and is thicker, more gloopy and less throat hit.

A lot of Vapers go for a mix to try and get the best of both. 50/50 is becoming more common. 70/30 is common too

Its a subjective thing and what works for you is what it's all about.

The thicker the juice, the harder it works your device. A very thick juice will reduce the working life of some atomisers or cartomisers.

Always stay hydrated. Drink water often. Good advice
