MPs awarded £3,500 pay rise only months after shunning nurses

i think most of them probably like it tbh.
What a totally stupid thing to say.

you have just branded the entirety of the people who voted in opposition to Corbyn as agreeing with this one policy, madness. A lot of them were not even Tory voters.

you know as well as I do that the political spectrum is massive, some people voted because they didn’t want someone quite as radical in power as corbyn, or because of brexit reasons or many many other myriad reasons - to tar them all as anti NHS is ridiculous.

this is what happens when you boil the exceptionally complex thing that is politics down to Hard left and hard right.

I think this goes down as one of the dumbest things I’ve heard you say Zou I have to say. - come on - you can do better.

actually it’s a toss up between that and “I’m a centralist”

maybe “like” was the wrong word to use. but if people voted tory for brexit reasons or because they thought corbyn was a terrorist, they surely must have expected tory decisions from them?

although the vote against the public sector pay rise was before the last election, was it not? in which case, even worse.

And again with the over egging

“Because they thought Corbin was a terrorist”

Do you not think it far more likely that they just didn’t want anyone quite as far left as that - or just didn’t agree with some of his policies?

Rather than .. they voted Tory! They must think that bullshit about Corbin being a terrorist.

This kind of crass generalization is everything I think is wrong with politics today.

I do NOT think Corbin is a terrorist - nor do i think he is Anti-Semitic, in fact i stand up for anyone’s right to question Israel’s actions regarding the Gaza Strip.

Likewise - I don’t think he would have made a good prime minister either.

You are missing ALL the shades of grey, Comrade

the idea that someone who would traditionally vote labour, voted tory because they disliked a few of corbyn’s policies, seems a bit extreme, to me.

he’s just a wee bit too far left, so i think i’ll vote for the most far right tory government in recent decades, also seems unlikely, as does, i don’t think corbyn would make a good pm, so i think i will vote for the incompetent, self-serving compulsive liar.

i think you were with brexit, this might have been the main factor. but again, it is obvious that if we elect a tory government they will behave like tories.

Except that that IS what happened
I’m know loads of labour voters who just didn’t like corbyn.

Thing is I don’t think this government in its actions so far HAS been the most right wing in decades.

in some respects they have beaten Blair’s labour to some left policies.

this is opinion of course - we all have Em - like arseholes.

i would say that’s probably because we are in the middle of a global emergency. they didn’t have much choice but i suppose we can only speculate about what would have happened had circumstances been more normal.
