So I started vaping in June this year and pretty quickly decided that I wanted to make my own mod, starting so late I am very fortunate in that things like the off the shelf SX350 and sprung loaded 510 etc are all readily available, so I got stuck in armed with my cheapo £50 pillar drill and my old bosch router!

It made up from an SX350, a turnigy 1200mah 15c round lipo, small tactile switch from stealth vape and the smaller of the varitube 510's and a peice of off-cut from my kitchen worktops!

The screen is a tad on the shite side, being a cut out of phone protector with a copper washer glued over the top but its give me some room for improvment when I make the next one!

That's bloody lovely, well done!
I really wish I could make stuff out of wood!

Like the build, very smooth :D

Copper washer for screen bezel? I think it looks nice. I played with a similar idea for mine too. Great minds...!

Im awed.
Ergo its awesome.
Love the recessed top.
I have a notion to do a similar thing with a block of slate as its easy to gouge out but I think weight may be a negative factor.

Yes the screen Bezel is just a big copper crush washer, its far from perfect and should be rebated deeper into the wood but I was really running out of thickness to sink it into so it is what it is.

The main downside of the mod is that its a sealed unit, all soldered up and glued together, so when its battery life is done its done and will need to cracked open to repair or just make a fresh mod using the chip, but I knew this when I started and found it an acceptable compromise for such a small mod with this shape out of wood.

I have a feeling you'll have a new mod well before the battery packs up.
