Nautilus 2 Tank Leaking

Had mine a further week now since my last post and have filled it another half dozen times right up to the line each time. Still not had one single drop leak or any gurgling at all. Running the 1.8 coil @12w. Excellent tank imho.

I've now had it for months and used both the 1.8 and 0.7 coils. It's only ever leaked slightly on a couple of occasions and that was because I over-tightened it and as a result, when I unscrewed it, it unscrewed the coil ever so slightly removing the seal between the coil and the base of the tank. Screwing the coil in tight again solved it. Other than that the tank has worked flawlessly. It's been amazing and not leaked or burnt out the coils.

I really couldn't recommend this tank highly enough to anyone looking for a mtl tank. Personally, I don't like the Zelos mod so I paired it with the Ehpro 101 tube mod instead. Both silver and look like they were made for each other. They could easily pass for a kit.

I have two of these, one has been no problem at all, with the other I found that the 1.8ohm coil supplied had quite crunchy threads so that when put together it wouldn't screw together completely without a lot of pressure being exerted, inevitably it would then leak and the coil would come out when it was unscrewed. I tried some new coils until I found one that screwed together smoothly and that solved all the problems. I suspect the threads in the top cap are better cut on some than on others.

I followed a tip I saw on YouTube and it works for me every time, When you fill the tank screw the top cap on about half way then turn upside down and tighten fully. I believe leaking is caused by pressure building in the tank when screwing on top cap forcing liquid into the base, so using above method forces air into base instead. Since using this method I have never had a leak since. Hope this helps.

Hi all, new member and a two years vaper here!

Just bought Aspire Zelos with Nautilus 2 tank and indeed constant leaking from air holes and gurgling.
So Googled and was led here.

I suspected it would be the coil loosening when removing the cap as some have mentioned here. Will try the upside down and tighten trick next though.

Seems to be a bit of hit and miss though with Nautilus.

What would you guys recommend as replacement tank?

If you like the look of the Nauti 2, then the Prism T20 is quite similar and much less of a faff to fill.

I have had the same problem with Nautilus 2 but in the end it just stopped leaking. It might have been a mix of things I have changed:

- Switched from 50/50 to 70/30 liquid
- Started tightening the coil very well
- Not tightening the cap strongly after refills
- Last but not leat, closing the vent before removing the cap, refilling, puting the cap on and only then opening the air vent.
- Turning the tank upside down when finishing the screwing didn't seem to make any difference in my case

I recently purchased the new Nautilus 2 tank, which is great by the way, but I am having trouble with it leaking through the air holes.

I'm going to strip it down later when I get chance to have a look. Is there anything in particular I should be looking for and what's the best way to go about cleaning it?
Is it possible that the O-rings that hold the glass in place are contaminated or is it likely to be something else that's making juice seep out of the air holes?
Hi Ruskie i had same problem stripped all down tightened no good....Then looked at coil saw hole was open no wadding changed coil ...all good .new coil did the job.
