Hi,
sorry if this has been covered, (searched and couldn't find anything), but I'm at my wits end with my Nautilus, (the solid SS normal length variety). Everytime I fill it, no matter how much I fill it, 1/3, 1/2, or full it acts like a sheesha bubble pipe. You inhale and all you can feel is it bubbling and the taste of the liquid. So I take off the atty and gently blow it threw to clear it and this seems fine until I put the atty back on and take a drag, and bubbles again..

This atty was excellent at the beginning but for the last few weeks it's been a nightmare, to the point I'm partially back on the rollies! :sleepy:

Has anyone any idea whats happening, I've taken it appart, cleaned it, rebuilt it all....Grrrrrrrr......can't see anything obvious.....

I'm using 1.5mm wick, res 1.8 ohm.

have you checked the o-rings are all ok? Particularly the one in the top cap section, around the mouthpiece.

Hi thanks for the quick reply. I've just double checked them all, and to be sure changed them out with the spares that came with it. Same result, shisha bubble pipe.

When you fill it do you close the flow control right down ? then open again after a few draws ?

yup flow fully shut, but it's bubbling even with it closed. Nearly leaked spat out 20ml of fluid today trying to get it to work OK....Madness

Is the battery pin with the nut in the ceramic bowl supposed to be tight(ish)?

yes, the nut in the ceramic should be fairly tight
also make sure to screw the ceramic holder in quite firmly so you seal the bottom o-ring against the nautilus base

Hi, if its same as odyessus should be 3mm wick, that's what I use anyway,I would have thought 1.5 mm would leave too much room in the ceramic channels for juice to get pushed up.

Hmm, now you mention it I think I remember using 2mm I/D Ekowool when I had a Nautilus, which is much closer to 3mm silica in size.

[edit] just had a thought.. (dangerous i know) how are you trapping the negative wire?

I've read of people having problems when trapping the wire under the locking ring or below the ceramic holder as the mouthpiece would no longer be straight and the o-ring would not be sealing properly, causing leaks.

I had a v2 Nautilus and used to just wrap the negative wire around the Ekowool on the open side so it still made contact with the ring and metal ceramic holder

Yup checked all that too, I'm out of ideas now, so away it goes into a drawer and out comes the AGA......shame as it was a lovely smoke

Yeah like that idea, could well be the neg wire not sealing the locking ring properly and so there is a leak. Back out of the drawer and back to the drawing board. I'll let you know how I get on with that
