Need confirmation I know wtf I'm doing...

After trying various brands of e liquid I really wanted to give this a try myself...

I believe I've read all the stickies and available help but would appreciate someone more experienced confirming I'm on the right path (I may have got too excited and missed some stuff in my haste).

I plan to do a combination of flavours, here's a basic breakdown of what I want to achieve:

- 5 flavours total (totalling 20%)
- 70/30 ratio (VG/PG)
- 3mg Nic level
- Either 30ml or 100 ml for first batch

Using various recipe calculators and the beautiful interwebs my calculations go as follows (assuming I do 30ml batch):

- nic juice 1.25ml (approx 4.2%)
- pg 2.12ml (approx 7%)
- VG 20.6ml (approx 69%)
- water/vodka/dilute 0
- flavour 1 \
- flavour 2 \ this will total approx 20%
- flavour 3 / but will all be different values
- flavour 4 /


I don't plan to use "drops" for calculations as many external factors affect it and I would like to have this done properly to repeat/fix my errors but if need be, drops p/ml is approximately between 35-40.

Now the above is what's floating in my brain, I would very much appreciate some advice and help.

Yep, the calculation is correct assumin pg nic. I wouldn't get too hung up on having to have 20% flavour though as there are many different strengths and variety and sometimes less is more. The prudent way is to make small amounts first and if you are going for 30 ml, leave out the nic and add once you are happy with the mix.
Nic is poisonous and should not be disposed of into the sink or toilet, and you may find some of your experiments being chucked. Just keep note of how much to add and throw it in at the end, nic doesn't need to steep

30 ml is quite a lot to make as a trial most start with 5 or 10 ml

I'm aware of the dangers of nic, very toxic stuff. I also have some gloves to wear so I am not cutting any corners when it comes to safety.

Very good point, I will make a tiny batch first. 10ml. Then if it's any good I'll go from there.

Another question, if it's a sweet flavour liquid I can try that straight away right? No need to steep?

TBH i never wear gloves but hey thats me.
depends on what you call sweet flavour, most fruits can be shake n vape but i still leave them for a couple of days to "settle in"
but again its down to what works for you, you may like it fresh all you can do is try it mate. if you like it then great if not
leave it for a few days and try it again and so on .

What concentrates you using?

I got quite a few I planned on experimenting with. Mainly from the CAP and TFA range, have a few ideas but nothing set in stone. I also plan on making my own pink lemonade

Looks good from here. As others have said though, 30ml is a fair amount to do a tester. I personally aim for a 15% total flavouring, as I mix a lot of aniseed/absinthe/menthol based juices. When you need testers, count me in!
