hey everyone I've stopped the smoking again (i used to vape before) and done 3 monts on a v2 cig but now want something better so brought a kanger protank mini 3 and a evod twist 3.

I used to have the same kanger before and loved it (can't remember set up) but this time i cant get a good vape either not enough vapour or one good hit then just burnt taste, ive tried 1.2 and 1.5 coils with 30%vg and 70% vg but still unsatisfied.

The best combo seems to be1.2 coil with 30% vg fluid but only get one or two puffs before its burnt.

Im obviously doing something wrong arrrrhhhhh

Please help the newbie

Hi, I'm not sure of the set up you have but if its variable voltage/wattage then maybe thats set too high, the juice needs to get through the wick to the coil or it will burn, so could also be the thickness of the juice or your style of vaping, if you're taking long drags and chain vaping then the liquid is not getting to the coils, so the cotton burns, hope you get sorted

1.2 should be ok if yr using MTL.
Are you priming your coils first?
= lack of doing this ‘could’ be the issue here. Search on here & google ‘vaping priming coils’. Can also be something specific to yr set-up, if so hopefully another ape will jump in here - I bypassed the whole stick end of things...

Hi and welcome to the planet.

i wish you had asked here first as you can see by this price its not the best in the world https://www.fasttech.com/product/3208500-evod-twist-iii-1600mah-vv-variable-voltage

ive never seen these so no idea how the twist voltage works. posting the links for others to advise on https://www.vapeclub.co.uk/kangertech-clearomiser-tanks/kangertech-mini-protank-3.html

as it comes with a 1.5 and 1.8 coil i think it needs to be on the lowest setting defo for the 1.8 and i guess turn it up a notch for the 1.5.
these coils are defo more suited with 50vg/50pg or higher pg. they wont cope with 70vg as its too thick.

Welcome. I've heard people talk about this and in some cases the coils have been just purely flawed. Not familiar with your setup and I am actually pretty new to MTL but been all over the spectrum of DL.
The helpful people here above seem to have better knowledge than me and their answers make total sense. Hope it all gets sorted soon.

welcome bro

You'll need to be using a 70 or 80% PG liquid for best results although you might get away with a 50/50 liquid at a push. Protank coils are pretty small so the wicking is farly slow and will not cope with high power levels - for a 1.2 ohm coil you wouldn't want to get much above about 3.8v (12w), and for a 1.5 ohm coil 4.2 (again 12w) as the chamber on the protank coils is tiny and doesnt need much in the way of power before it starts to burn.
I'd really reccomend something a bit more modern - settings are in the more familiar watts and the coils, tanks etc are much more available - although that said many of the newer AIO (all in one) devices are very good and requre only charging and occasional coil changes...

Hi, I still use the Protanks daily with a 1.8ohm pre made coil or a 2.0ohm self made. With these I stick to 7 watts and 70/30 PG/Vg juice generally. They got me off the fags and give me what I need without burning thru loads of juice.
